Parked in the large layby 200m S of bridge to forest road. Followed the track to Norman's grid ref. The mapped track is far from obvious at the start, but it was marked by a pink tape stretched across it. The track is becoming very overgrown in places, and would benefit from secateurs or small loppers to keep it clear. Quite wet underfoot. From the clearing by the first fence (broken) the 2nd fence with now broken gate is easily reached, and up to the Tump and Marilyn summits. Back the same way.Minto16/01/2024
Parked in large lay-by on A835, 50m SE of the bridge. Forest road then south on overgrown forest track which leads all the way to the open hillside. Good views from this pleasant summit. With Jill & Minto.Dangerous Dave16/01/2024

Parked in the layby just before the bridge. I missed Normans track and ended up on a faint path on the west side of the forest. A heather bash to this summit. Solo. Onwards to the marilyn.bolton01/11/2022

Returned via RHW's route, foolishly attempted a more direct ascent.jimbloomer03/05/2014
En route to the Marilyn. From NE via newish footbridge. Followed forest road R about 500 m then track up - sketchy but OK underfoot and free of trees. Blowing a hoolie!RHW16/11/2013
