Gruinard - track - Beinn Dearg Bheag by NW ridge - Beinn Dearg Mor - back to Bealach - path by Loch na Sealga - track - Gruinard | davidpettit84 | 30/05/2019 |
With four friends. We parked near Carn na h-Aire and walked up the track to Loch na Sealga. We came to a rickety boat house. We followed a bit of path rising slowly and then went up the hillside to a col NW of Beinn Dearg Bheag. We climbed up to the summit of Beinn Dearg Bheag, passing over the tops of Carn Airigh an Easain* and Carn Loch Ghiubhsachain* as well as the North Top. As we descended to the col on the other side it got a little damp. We reached the col at 21:30 and decided to stay the night there in survival bags. It rained most of the night. The cloud was well down. However, the cloud rose and we decided to go to the summit of Beinn Dearg Mòr. *Names added 2015. | pwbellarby | 19/06/1993 |
