Parked at the Inverbroom bus stop and followed the Coffin Road path until reached a gate NE of Carn Dearg. Followed the fence from here to near the summit. After Carn Dearg it was heather tramping and pool hopping to Meall Glac Tigh-fail, Carn Mhic Ruairidh, Carn Breac Mor, Carn Breac Meadhonach and finally Carn Breac Beag, only the great view to An Teallach and the England v Pakistan World Cup commentary distracting me from the relative tedium of this terrain. We returned to the start via the old stalkers path that starts/ends ENE of Carn Breac Mor. Not much of a path until you reach the Altan Odhar gorge down to Auchlunachan. 5 hours. | summitter | 11/11/2023 |
Parked at Cuileig Power Stn entrance (NH 1903 7823). Track to pwr stn then old, dilapidated FB over R. Broom (take life in own hands!). Inital track goes off N on a frolick of it's own so headed up over rough ground at NH 1916 7902, maybe not best decision of the day, but it worked. Pretty much direct line from there to summit. On to Carn Breac Meadhonach, Carn Breac Mor, Carn Mhic Ruairidh, Meall Glac Tigh-fail and Carn Dearg. | jonglew | 02/12/2022 |
Parked by entrance to Culleig Pwr Stn. Track to remains of bridge above pwr stn, parts of rails broken, half the planks missing, those remaining are rotten, cross at own risk! Rough going to fence junction to NW, then direct to summit. Can Breac Beag, Corn Breac Meadhonach, Caen Breac Mor, Car Mhic Ruairidh, Meall Glac Tigh-failCarn Dearg. With JG. | CJM | 02/12/2022 |
