At last, a legal reason to visit property in Inverness, and this wee hill. As others, went to the high point of the hill by the track. So windy we took to the east ridge. Great viewpoint.iangalbraith04/04/2021

Parked at the lay-by and walked back 200m down the road to pick up the access track at 398605. Good views of Loch Garve and the Wyvis range on the way up.Peterb20/02/2018
With Steve Smith from layby W side A832 (NH 3964 6090). Roadside for 350m then up pylon access road.jonglew17/02/2018
A nice walk, after the day was saved by a lovely garage in Inverness repairing my car in the morning. The voie normale, but very lovely, with the track covered in superb crunchy snow. A lot of post-holing higher up, but superb views in the sunshine and great to be out. Even the pylons looked lovely. Ice bows too.Gill16/12/2017
Parked in the lay-by on the A 835 south of Garve at NH 39640 60892. Walked along the road verge to the beginning of the pilon access road and up to the col. Then a rough heather-bash to the summit. Fine view. returned by outward route. Solo.Man of Kernow104/11/2017

Solo jog. From Garve, up by the new power line motorway.amswanston01/05/2016
With Jenx. Parking now at old lane-end by main road at 398605. Shocking track now in place to service new power lines. Double width track all way to col and beyond. Cut up onto hill from bealach, roughish ground to pleasant summit.nordicstar05/02/2016
The track and pylons are a blot on the landscape. Otherwise a good little walk with nice viewsjenx05/02/2016
MC JC DC O. From main road. Parked in layby and walked back east for a few hundred metres. The rough path by the pylons is now gone and replaced by a Landie track built for the Beauly / Mossford pylon line replacement. To bealach across rough heathery ground to summit. Good VP down Loch Luichart - spoilt only by the pylons. Cold on top.Martin6620/11/2015
A quickie with Martin66, JC & O during a week at Strathcarron. Parked in a layby just S of Garve, walked back along the road (unpleasant)& took the bulldozed tracks upwards. At least it made for quick going. Pleasant enough walk higher up for a good view apart from the pylons of course. Back by the same route.NotReallyABagger20/11/2015
There is a new forest track that follows pylons for a while and then used original track to ridge from whence it is vegetation bashing time. Would have got the Hump too, but felt oddly tired and not in mood for further heather, tall grass and bracken.Martin R05/10/2014
A sunny evening but with a cool east breeze. From the north a rough track follows the course of power lines, from the highest point of that track, bear left towards the summit. There are no crag difficulties but the final push to the summit is heavy going through steep and long heather.Topographer5725/08/2014

lovely day , very short walk, easy to park at a laybye. Helen , Jon, Alison.tallblond02/09/2012
By the dam is a gap in the fence. Follow a bracken infested clearing parallel to the loch which meets an old track at NH391586. This track follows the line of the power lines to the ridge W of the summit for a straightforwards ascent to the summit.Jim.Fothergill05/04/2011
with MM, but he did not go to summit HFB29/12/2009
Marilyn 370. Walked up from Gairbh on path beside OHLs before ascending heather bank just past the point where the fence turns.Buteobuteo03/10/2009
Drove up road to Tarvie and ascended from there over Creg a Chaoruinn avoiding bracken where possible.JohnW03/06/2009
