Left track at 61440/71457. Ok from there. | duchally | 11/11/2023 |
From NE, Fyrish car park, via Cnoc Fyrish, back via mapped tracks, plenty windthrow, short steep ascent eastwards to summit, descended NE avoiding more windthrow, back to car park. | RHW | 26/09/2023 |
Up Cnoc Fyrish from CP to NE on good tourist trail, then Cnoc Ceislein on track most of the way and back to CP via Cnoc Duchaire. | sclater | 16/04/2023 |
Solo. Forestry roads from Fyrish car park then a b-line to the summit via a clearing. | garbo1103 | 07/11/2022 |
Boulder is west of summit (rather than north as stated) if you want to visit it. | Matt | 20/05/2022 |
Approached from NE, easy climb with easily avoidable and limited windfall. | Adrian | 11/05/2022 |
Ascent to the summit from the south-west is almost impossible due to windblown Scots Pine forming thick and low scrub. If coming from that direction, swing round the west side further and it opens up. | sam.g.guthrie | 02/07/2021 |
Ascent from NH 6149 7158 is problem free. Whistling Sika deer still around. | jimbloomer | 09/06/2021 |
From Fyrish car park followed forest roads and animal paths on North side of top to the summit. Pleasant enough hill. | willyross | 18/01/2021 |
After Fyrish and up from the north through open woodland. Deer tracks showed the way through the windthrow. Lots of interesting shapes to the trees on the summit ridge. A goodie.

Sika deer whistles can be quite startling, but they make good paths and guides | fasgadh | 24/10/2020 |
1 of 4: From Fyrish CP. Left the track at 617717 and zig zaggged up deer tracks. No problems. | ChrisR | 23/08/2019 |
Easy ascent from land rover track to the north. Was some black and white animal around the summit, couldn’t identify as I only ever got fleeting glimpses. I will guess it was a goat. Descent to the west wasn’t so nice, it didn’t seem to affect the goat? | tsmart | 23/12/2018 |
Less wind throw if you approach from the east .... we didnae! and I have the scars to prove it. | summitter | 01/10/2017 |
Truly dreadful hill. Came in from SW and followed bulldozer tracks to an area of devastation. Crawled around under and over the debris until I got a good GPS reading equating to summit on map. | Thearlaichdubh | 17/05/2017 |
After the Marilyn, just above where we parked on the forest road | nordicstar | 23/03/2016 |
A wander through fallen trees and bog. Your guess will be as good as mine as to which bit of raised bog is the true summit.Indeterminate. | Martin R | 27/09/2015 |
