Parked at the upper Knockfarrel car park. After taking in the Knockfarrel summit, carried on over the top and down the east side. When the path met the one coming up from Fodderty, turned south back up on to the track that carries on down to Dingwall. A short way along this, louped a few fences, to arrive at the west end of the airstrip. Here we met the landowner who was preparing to receive an incoming aircraft in the afternoon. It's worth noting that the airstrip is still in occasional use. Remember to duck! Gained the high point near its east end. With Nozzer.BigJ13/12/2023

From NE, Walkers car park above farm, at NH 5312 5886. Up track, cross field and burn, gate at NH 5266 5836 gives access to upper pasture and airstrip. Through woodland to far side, HP at fence corner, not quite as mapped. In descent used gate at W end of airstrip, due N for easy crossing of burn, then back via the track. Better route IMO.RHW25/09/2023
Consolation bag after a wet day. I parked beyond Knockbain then followed tracks up to the airstrip. The map tends to confuse around the summit, with the mapped plantation now felled and a newer one now stretching to the edge of the airstrip. I found the high point at the fence between the two. There's an abandoned 4x4 being slowly absorbed at the edge of the treesColin Crawford19/06/2023
