4 of 6: Parked at Jn. east of Drum: 690539. Walked down the lane and passed a better spot at 686534 | ChrisR | 05/04/2019 |
Roadside parking (NH 6951 5412) where there are an awful lot of 'No Parking' signs. Permissive tracks/paths round SE side of Ormond Hill from where some mapped paths no longer exist. Progressed to NH 6959 5333 turning E to pick up a higher track, then at NH 6943 5318 took a direct(ish) line to top of the hill. Popped up onto Ormond Hill on return. With Carole Engel. | jonglew | 07/04/2018 |
The mapped track passing close to north of trig does not exist. Using southernmost track, there is a feint logging track leading west from NH696533 to higher track and easy felled ground. Cross this to open woodland (bracken in summer) | carole engel | 07/04/2018 |
The track from NE has seen better decades and is overgrown with gorse. Swing slightly S on main track from Ormond Castle and up track through felled area to reach fairly open woodland on the ridge to summit and trig. | ajwxyzt | 11/03/2018 |
From Castleton via a visit to Ormond Castle.
The trig is nicely secluded behind various bushes etc. | NormanW | 23/09/2017 |
