Staying in chalets at Cannich. With two friends. From the end of the track above the power station in Gleann Innis an Loichel. We went up the glen to Clach an Daimh then contoured round. We went up the east subsidiary ridge off the north ridge of An Socach to reach the summit of An Socach. We pressed on east with a glissade down to the col, on to An Riabhachan and tops, then Sgurr nan Clach Geala, Braigh a’ Choire Bhig*, Creag a’ Chaorainn. There was a steep climb (for me) down snow to Loch Tuill Bhearnach. N back to the car. One or two spots of rain/snow. Some mist, but it was mostly clear. Quite a lot of snow on the ground. *This is the Munro Top as given in the 1974 Edition of Munro’s Tables, subsequently deleted as a Munro Top.pwbellarby14/05/1983
With three friends. From Loch Mullardoch Dam, going via the path beside Allt Mullardoch to Creag Dubh. We went on to Carn nan Gobhar and Sgurr na Lapaich. Two of us went N to Rudha nan Spreidhe and back. We continued to Sgurr nan Clachan Geala. I diverted to Braigh a’ Choire Bhig. I caught the others up shortly after passing over Creag a’ Chaorainn. It was warm and sunny all day with first class views of Skye, Rhum, Beinn Eighe, Slioch etc etc.pwbellarby30/05/1982
