From Beinn a' Mhanaich. Followed the fence all the way, a big help on a wet, windy, foggy day. Generally good going, briefly steep. Descended easily to the dam, then back along the tarred track.Owen B19/08/2023
Parked at the forrest Auchengaich Burn, walked up Auchengaich Hill and along the ridge to Beinn Tharsuinn and Beinn Chaorach. Down to the reservoir and back along the track to the car.Missphoton06/08/2023

Parked in the layby on the old road in Glen Fruin, opposite the end of the track to the reservoir. Followed track nearly to dam, turning right just before the fence. Path at first which peters out, but traces are forming, direct up to summit on good grass. SSE to Beinn Tharsuinn.Minto22/12/2022

From Luss we walked up the Glen Luss road then track to just shy of Gleann na Caorainn, where the track crosses the Luss Water. Straight up to Beinn Chaorach for a loch-tastic view and lunch, then eastwards over Beinn Tharsuinn, Balcnock, Creag an Leinibh and Beinn Ruisg. NE down Ruisg's wide flank to where the Sron an Laoigh and Auchengavin burns meet .... quite a lot of bracken near the bottom to thrash through. After a couple of waterfalls an overgrown track on the west side of the conjoined burn is reached, which in-turn leads to a hard track to Auchengavin house and the minor road back to Luss beyond. Great walk in sunny weather. 5.25 hrs total.summitter24/09/2022

Beinn a' Maniac, a fitting hill for my 1456th Marilyn. Good parking a few yards up the dam road. Up to and across the dam, then up through the nasty new forestry, dodging R at the first cross trench, L at the second, then up steep mossy grass to pop out on the ridge by a handy gate. Easy track, then path all the way to Maniac. Down and up the N side of the fence to Beinn Chaorach to get down to double figures, followed by a dead easy descent into the midst of a military exercise complete with dummy missiles parked on the dam. Pleasant chat with the CO.Gill15/03/2022

Parked at 274900 on the Glen Fruin road (9:15) and walked to the gate by the reservoir dam. Ascended the ridge above to Beinn Chaorach (10:45). Then followed the fence all the way down to the valley and up Beinn a'Mhanaich to the col just below the summit (12:25). Then S down the ridge to the Strone (no red flags flying) and a steep trackless descent back to the dam. Weather was gorgeous - clear and sunny with long views and clouds in the valleys.
