With Yeltzbagger. Fantastic views. Glad the gate was open to save ducking through the hole in the fence.Stevie n Tay20/03/2024
Solo. Parked by the gate at 079584. The track goes all the way to the summit from here. Great views of Torridon and other areas from the top. Good for a 2 hr or less walk on a day when you're also doing something else in the area.DampandDusty01/01/2024
I was looking for a short evening climb on route to Kinlochewe and this one fitted the remit. Started at track down to mast from the A832. The first metal gate has a kissing gate at side so no problems. However the 2nd gate at exit from wood at west end is locked and has a wooden bars bolted to the top of the metal gate, making it a bit tricky to get over. Once over that obstacle it was a fine easy stroll up the track to the summit with large stone cairn and another mast. Great viewpoint to Torridon and Fisherfields. Returned the same way.Jossker01/09/2023
Up and down by track. Great views Torridoncolazione21/06/2023
Parked at the access gate and followed the service track to the mast and large cairn. Great views from the top, especially towards the Torridon hills to the west in the afternoon. Hot with clear skies. Worth doing on a clear day. Solorichard6905/06/2023
Solo. From the start of the track to the summit from A832 at NH078583. Close to the summit is a communication mast. Although the track is shown on maps I have, none of them show the mast. Splendid views of the Torridon mountains, Slioch and many others on a beautiful sunny afternoon.pwbellarby12/05/2023

Easy ascent on track not marked on my old LR25. Stupendous view from summit. Galltywenallt26/10/2022
Out and back by mast road, starting at sunset. Quite windy higher up and a shower passed over. Cold. Not much visiblity. En route to Shills meet in Torridon. Rounsfell01/10/2021
From track end at NH078583, then along track all the way to the summit (two locked gates, first has side gate for walkers, second has a neat hole cut in the adjacent deer fence), return same way. With JAS.kdbennett26/08/2021
Pleasant walk up the track to the summit. Great views.martin_hall26/07/2021
Parked at access gate and followed track to the summit. Magnificent views of the Torridon giants, Loch Maree, Slioch. Very hot and invaded by flies so it took longer at 2 hours. Solo.bolton21/07/2021

Gale force winds and cloud on higher hills, so picked this one, dodged the heavy showers. Parked by the entrance to the access track without obstruction. Large gate at plantation edge ajar, held by an easy to move stone. Atmospheric views.Owen B29/08/2019
Up the mast track, short hr and half mostly dry. Clear summit but clag all around, huge low pressure system for August.N.Morters09/08/2019
Up the mast track, down to Kinlochewe.Chris Peart09/05/2018
Solo in bleak wintery weather along the mast access road from NH 0789 5832. Large cairn at summit; wandered across to the grassy mound 100m NW as looked a contender - GPS gave 4m lower. On to a couple of tumps to the SW before dropping down to join the Coulin Estate track and picking up the road at NH 0023 5816.jonglew07/02/2018
Second of the day, up the easy track, armed with clean dry socks and trainers, after submerging my boots in the snow covered bogs of Meall a'Chaorainn. Feet remained warm and dry, despite paddling through numerous icy puddles and lots of snow. Boots are rubbish really. Spectacular sunset views from the top.Gill18/12/2017

Went up the track next to the aerial mast and followed it all the way to the summit. An easy hill and though not much in itself the views from the summit were stunning.Peterb10/07/2017
Solo. Up track and back same way.Dangerous Dave21/05/2017

1 of 4: From A832 at Transmitter track.ChrisR09/03/2017
Parked at the entrance to the aerial track at NH 07887 58304. Then followed track south and west through the forest to a locked gate in the deer fence. A gap in the wire on the left can be used to get through. Then followed the stony track north-west to the cluttered summit. Returned by outward route. A boring hill, but with stunning views. Solo Nordic Walk.Man of Kernow124/10/2016

Late afternoon ascent. Stunning views from the summit. Carried Seumas all of the way. He slept all of the way back down. I am sure that he was saying Easy Easy as we neared the summit. We parked at NH 079 583 and took the track all of the way to the summit. Getting passed the first gate was straightforward however we were nearly beaten by the gate at NH 073 581 - thankfully there were holes in the fencing that I could get Seumas through.assynt_bob24/04/2016
Hogmanay wander up the track from the road with Shaky. Plenty of room to park without blocking access. There's some good views to be had here if you can just block all of the summit clutter out of your peripheral vision.NotReallyABagger31/12/2015
End of a few days in Gairloch, and finally a glimpse of sun. Parked by the track to the mast and followed it to the summit. Views stunning! Beinn Eighe, Liathach, Slioch, Loch Maree all picked out in detail. With John and Niallkenmorti26/10/2015
Evening ascent from the lower down mast car park. Up the forest track and across the moor. Great views and a few midges.Play2End17/09/2015
From car park in Glen Docherty (17:25) (no parking at top of pass) climbed down over river and v steeply up grass and heather to plateau; then through heather to summit cairn by mast. Some cloud & rain on top. Back same route; finish 19:05dbb20/05/2015

Not the most noble way to complete region 13 Marilyns. But the view great. Shame about unfriendly gate coming out of the small forest.Martin R04/10/2013

W Jenx, parked on A832 at GR 077584 (space for a car ) and cut parallel to forest, over deer fence and burn to track. Fair deep snow, followed to large cairn and mast. Good views to Beinn Eighe. Back down parallel to Creag Bhuidhe before dropping down in near dark to road and back to car.nordicstar08/12/2012
Parked at start of track to two masts. Start at 750' asl. Track all the way to top. One locked gate in deer fence. 7' tall cairn of flat stones. watershed hill.arranc09/06/2008
