Beinn na Caillich, Sgurr na Coinnich, Beinn Bheag and Ben Aslak from Kylerhea. | rhalstead | 12/06/2023 |
Beinn na Caillich and Sgurr na Coinnich a couple of well earned Grahams up from the Skye Bridge side visited in very pleasant walking conditions this afternoon. | Alex C | 25/05/2023 |
after Sgurr na Coinnnich. Directly up SW ridge which has a few boulder fields and rock bands. Hazy views for lunch. Traverse/ resascend/ descend Sw back to Bealach Udal and continue to Ben Aslak.Solo. | Denise | 24/05/2023 |
With Sgurr na Coinnich before meeting Malky and Jackie at Camastianavaig. Strong wind and very rough underfoot. Both summits clear but only a few minutes of direct sun under racing clouds. Contoured back to car at high point of Kylerhea road to keep out of wind. | Rounsfell | 13/02/2023 |
From the otter hide parking, up over Beinn Bhuidhe to the bealach then a scrambly line up through the rocks to the summit | Matt2901 | 20/08/2022 |

From Sgurr na Coinnich with Dangerous Dave as the mist cleared. Great views northwards. Traversed SW back to Bealach Udal. | bolton | 20/07/2022 |
From Sgurr na Coinnich with bolton. Skirted Sgurr na Coinnich to the east on the way back to the van at Bealach Udal. | Dangerous Dave | 20/07/2022 |
From Sgurr na Coinnich. Straightforward descent to the col. Gale force SE wind, so found a faint path up the sheltered NW side avoiding the outcrops and scree. Glorious views on a bright but very windy day. Returned to the col, then contoured round the SE side of Sgurr na Coinnich to the knoll at point 415, rather uncomfortable on a steep slope with very spongey vegetation and the stiff breeze. Then down to the car at the viewpoint just east of the bealach. | Owen B | 25/06/2022 |
From free CP to SE. Rlough steep ascent over Beinn Bhuidhe. Beinn na Caillich looked impossible but there is feint path - built small cairn to show start at NG 76895 22555 - after which no problem | carole engel | 31/05/2022 |
Start and finished at the RSPB carpark/hide. Straight up the non-pathed SE flank of Beinn Bhuide, the terrain getting easier as altitude was gained. Into Bealach nam Mulachag, where rucksacks were jettisoned in favour of an encumbrance free assault on Beinn na Caillich. Steep and scrambley to start with, but eventually rounded out into a fine peak with even finer aspect along Loch's Alsh and Long. A persistent wind forced us quickly back to bags and a bealach bite before the easier ascent of Sgurr na Coinnich. We continued SSW to Bealach Udal, thankfully finding a narrow path on the lower contours as the matted vegetation and regular hidden holes dented knees and footsure confidence. The opposite side of the glen proved similarly challenging, although a reasonable path to Beinn Bheag from the radio mast track helped hugely. The crossing to Ben Aslak offered no such assistance, nor did the steady incline down its broad eastern ridge, until deer tracks were located about a kilometre shy | summitter | 20/03/2022 |
From the otter haven at Kylerhea - straight up very steep slopes to Beinn Buidhe, then to the bealach, then up through minor crags, before returning to the bealach and an easier ascent of Sgurr na Coinnich. Descent directly back over Beinn Buidhe. Breezy and overcast but fine viewpoints. | benalder284 | 15/01/2022 |
Bealach Udal - Sgurr na Coinnich - Beinn na Caillich - back over Sgurr na Coinnich contouring south of summit - Bealach Udal - Beinn Aslak - Beinn Bheag - Bealach Udal. | davidpettit84 | 21/10/2021 |
from Bealach Udal via Sgurr na Connich | Galltywenallt | 23/09/2021 |
While at Morvich with the caravan, I headed over the Kylerherra Ferry (£15 single) and parked at the otter hide car park for 12noon. I headed over Beinn Bhuidhe then up Beinn na Caillich and across to Sgurr na Coinnich.

I dropped down directly to Beinn Bhuidhe then a steep heathery descent to the car park. During a heatwave so it was insanely hot, wore my midgie net as a sun hat.

The blue skies gave great views of the Cullin, Skye Bridge and numerous islands, 05:50hrs all in. | chillyman8 | 23/07/2021 |
From the otter haven at Kylerhea - straight up Beinn Buidhe to Bealach nam Mulachag, then up through minor crags. Return to Bealach before easy ascent of Sgurr na Coinnich then direct line back to Beinn Buidhe | Rockdoctor | 08/05/2021 |
Failed here at Hogmanay 2013 being beaten back by appalling weather on Sgurr na Coinnich. Was sitting in Hector's Bothy at Kyle looking yet again at this hill mocking me on a perfect autumn day... Finished the tasty square sausage roll & drove up to the Bealach Udal, parking in a slot on S side of road about 200m W of the mast track. Heading towards Sgurr na Coinnich, there is a faint path running alongside the burn directly opposite the mast which peters out after a while. Slog up to top for a great view & then down to the bealach. Loose stuff at the bottom of the short ascent to Beinn na Caillich for another great view. Had intended to take a slanting line to W of Sgurr na Coinnich from col on return but decided it was more trouble than just reascending & lingering to enjoy that view again. Tried a descent line further W of ascent: it looked easier. Wrong. At least I can sit in Hector's & enjoy looking at the hill now. | NotReallyABagger | 31/10/2019 |
From Sgurr na Coinnich. Pacing and rock-to-rock compass work required but sheltered from wind and nice terrain. Retraced steps over Sgurr na Coinnich and battled downhill against the wind to Bealach Udal. Would probably be a lovely walk in better weather. 2 hours 40 mins. Considered climbing Ben Aslak but decided to save it for a better day and had a superb pizza at Cafesia in Broadford instead. | Wycombe Wanderer | 28/03/2019 |

From the Kylerhea Wildlife viewing car park. You might see more on the hill, such as the Goldie tucking into a newly dead deer. The start of the walk is not nice, because of steep, deep vegetables (best done in winter?) but it soon improves to dry tundra on Beinn Bhuidhe, then easy grass to Bealach nam Mulachag, from where there's a good, steep path up the scree and grass to the summit. Fabulous views. | Gill | 16/07/2018 |
Heather, from cottage in Glenelg. Sea Eagle and Adder sightings. | garbo1103 | 06/06/2018 |

A walk over the two Grahams on a wet afternoon after a morning drive up from Bridge of Orchy. Mainly out of the cloud though. Beinn na caillich rather more interesting than Sgurr na Coinich. | dickscroop | 22/09/2017 |
On way home from BC Skye meet at Glen Brittle. | clashcityrocker | 21/07/2017 |
Lunchtime round with Rob Wight as forecast rain did not arrive. from Bealach Udal Mast. Superb clear round, with extensive views to knoydart and of Kylerhea narrows. Rain started on Beinn ba Caillich. 3 hours. | alexmaclennan | 22/05/2017 |

Start: Bealch Udal. Notes: Climbed alone after Beinn na Seamraig via Kylerhea and Beinn Bhuidhe. Ascended south eastern aspect along a large crevace/gash in the hillside. Great views of Raasay in particular. | raffemeister | 07/05/2013 |
With Mora, from the Bealach Udal | BLACKHILL | 27/04/2013 |
W Jenx from road col. Steep up Coinnich and via frozen tarn. Snow and sun to trig/cairn. Down far side to col and scramble easy up Caillich. Down same then Western traverse inc minor 610m tops and to road. Easier it seemed than Fempsters suggestion of Easyern traverse, boulders and scree. | nordicstar | 01/01/2013 |
Hideous midgey roadside camp with Darren at Bealach Udal road top hoping for some breeze -to no avail. Then a drizzly very rough, bog & heather ascent and linked to Beinn na Caillich. Return contoured across east flank of Coinnich -all rough and damp. To Broadford youth hostel to dry out and refuel. Then a lovely dry circuit around the other Beinn na Caillich. (2 hills of the same name in a day is a bit unusual) | Chris Pearson | 19/07/2012 |
With Mrs G. No paths up to this Graham from Kylerhea, just a slog over heather and scree, not helped by low cloud, persistent rain and then snow, all the way to the summit. A cold, wet day, but it was great! | jonglew | 17/05/2012 |
Solo from camp | HFB | 15/04/2012 |

from Coinnich. Steeply down through boulders to get view of bealach as mist cleared. Skye Bridge and Kyleakin. To the right over scree then a clamber into mist on green steeply rising slopes of grass and heather. Around first prow to top at 11.55. No view - mist. An enormous cairn. Hot chocolate in Beinn na Caillich café, but still had to pay for it! | arranc | 12/05/2007 |
