2/4 ...then descent to col and short steep climb to second summit....wychwood03/07/2023
From Mynydd Cwmeiddew on forest tracks then over rough but OK terrain on tussocky moss and heather to lumpy HP at forest edge. Good, sunny views of Cadair. Continued N along ridge on vague path at forest edge.Denise 17/10/2022
From Mynydd Cwmeiddew via forest track and rough grassy ridge. Un-marked high point at forest edge near old wooden fence post. Good views of Cadair Idris.RichardM17/10/2022
Parked in the car park at Aberllfenni, and walked up forest roads with a short but awful ascent up a steep slope in newly planted area onto the ridge between Ceiswyn and Mynydd Fron-fraith - heather, bramble and rotting wood! Once on the ridge all pretty straightforward, first to Mynydd Fron-fraith, then back track to the high point of the day at Ceiswyn, then by ATV track and forest road to Mynydd Cwmeiddew, and further forest roads with a short bit through the forest into open country to Godre Fynydd. Finally, a descent down a delightful forest path NE brought me back onto the forest road above Aberllfenni, then with a big loop round back to the car. Good views of Cader. A round trip of 16km with 700m ascent, taking 5h 20m.silveracorn_alan09/08/2022
Parked at the mountain centre on the A487 grid ref 73887 09200 and used the footpath opposite to reach the forest roads to Godre Fynydd and Mynydd Cwmeiddew finishing on the open hillside for Ceiswyn and Mynydd Fron-fraith, returned by the same route. Eight and half mile in Five hours twenty (I did start off the wrong way down the forest road at the start probably lost forty minutes).WAYNE ROWLETT29/05/2021
Godre Fynydd, Mynydd Cwneiddew, Ceiswyn and Mynydd Fron Fraith. Parked in layby on A487, walked half a mile south down the road then east across a field to avoid the grumpy sign on the entrance to the forest track. From Mynydd Cwneiddew on forest track then ATV track.PGCE07/02/2021

Continuation of walk from Mynydd Cwmeiddew. Took track west for several hundred metres, then a boggy path up north-west to the summit. Returned the same way. Solo.Man of Kernow117/12/2016
Godre Fynydd, Mynydd Cwneiddew, Ceiswyn and Mynydd Fron Fraith. Parked in layby on A487, walked half a mile south down the road then east across a field to avoid the grumpy sign on the entrance to the forest track. At the top of the field I worked my way up tracks to near the first top and then made it up as I went along really.clivevilla20/09/2016

From layby on A487 up the ROW and along the ridge, then through the forest taking four Deweys. Great views of Cadhair. Return by forest track on east side. Surprised to see tarmac on the byeway over the pass.SS31/05/2014
The start of my last day of this particular Hillwalking adventure. I caught a bus from Machynlleth to the Minffordd hotel and after a drink I headed up the very steep slopes, through some bluebells and then onto the bilberry and heather-clad flora climbing over two fences in the process. I was shocked at how steep this hill was and had several breathers before getting onto the fenceline to find the summit. I freed a sheep that had caught itself in the fence and had to pull each individual tuft of wool out to free it and was disappointed that i didnt get even a Baaaa to say Thankyou! I followed the fenceline down to the A487. Great views of the Magnificence of the Cader Idris massif. It doesnt appear that many people take the direct route up. I can understand why!Dazingdale09/05/2014
As DG and MR. Good track.destaylor08/10/2012
There is another hillock 10m away which seemed as high at GR-SH 74561 10888.Just in case. With andrew brown.DARRENG26/08/2012
Ignored private signs at SH734102. Anything to avoid another gloomy walk through a plantation or any pine thrashing, rather than enjoy the evening sunshine. Track takes you steeply half way there.Martin R31/08/2011
from Mynydd Fron-fraith, descended to next bwlch the climbed to Ceiswyn.steve hudson21/10/2009
