With J during a long weekend in Yorkshire. An iffy weather day meant abandoning our plan to ascend Cross Fell. Headed to the Thrang where there is space for a few cars to park. Walked S along the road to Little Ing Farm where the Pennine Bridleway leads up to the ruined farm & then under a railway arch. Some curious sheep stood their ground by the fence, one farting a greeting at us... Followed the track up to the col & turned L just before the gate up the edge to the cairn at the sharp point. No view, so wandered over to the trig point. Back by the same route getting a brief view at the top of the edge.NotReallyABagger20/10/2019

With K from The Thrang, Mallerstang. Route via Hazelgill farm was less disruptive to residents than route via Deep Gill. Met a fellow at summit doing a radio activation. Top class hill.Ashley25/03/2018
A very good and easy walk from Little Ings up the Pennine Bridleway, along the eastern edge of the plateau to the huge cairns, with splendid views, then cut across to the trig, and back along the NW edge. Cold and windy enough for hat, gloves, and waterproofs in August.Gill04/08/2017
