Parked carefully in Ardtalnaig. Road to just past Claggan then good zig-zag track almost to point 642. Easy walk along the Shee to the top then steeply down WSW to track. Took left fork to ford across Allt a'Chloidh then followed old track to gate in fence at NN 70712 38338. Pleasant but neglected zig-zag path through the trees back to the road. | TRG318 | 11/10/2023 |
Between the two Corbetts. | davechaffey | 30/11/2022 |
From Ardtalnaig. North to south along the ridge line using the zig zags track for ascent. Steep descent at the south end. The gash in the hill (a local called it the Sword Cut) is spectacular. | Fife Walking | 17/07/2022 |
From Ardtalnaig via Clannag and track to W side of ridge, along ridge to summit and down via S/SE end and valley track to E of hill. | IanHHill | 31/05/2022 |
Google maps shows that the N ridge is a manky mess of hags and bogs and the forecast was for 40 mph wind, so I opted for the S ridge. This gives a superb, easy walk. Parked between Achomer and the bridge, up past Claggan, then the good track up Gleann a' Chilleine, a beautiful U-shaped valley. The river was lively and deep but there is a one plank metal bridge marked by a post slightly upstream of the wide deep ford. Up the track to the S ridge, then steep grass and a little heather to start, then an easy stroll up a nice grassy ridge. Frosty on top. No view but lovely all the same. Nice clean, dry feet. | Gill | 02/03/2022 |
From Ardtalnaig. | thekirkie pirate | 09/11/2021 |
From Creagan na Beinne. South down Dunan Hill, then came off the ridge just past Allt Dearg, to the track junction, not too bad. Then took the hill track to its high point at the south end of the ridge. Up the heathery, mostly pathless ridge to the summit. | Owen B | 17/07/2021 |
Creag Uchdag (C), Shee of Ardtalnaig (G) & Creag na Beinn (C) from Ardtalnaig, Loch Tay | Huwel | 31/03/2021 |
As per nick downs, but a bit more like grinner on top, up to waste deep at one point, but when the views opened up, it was spectacular. 3hr round trip, was wanting to do creagan an bienne, but think that was too ambitious in the conditions. It'll still be there! | Nicky C | 27/12/2020 |
Walked in from north using track then headed for summit. Found ATV track weaving its way along the ridge. Nice walk. Impressive cleft on the east side of the mountain. With Alex J. | assynt_bob | 20/08/2020 |

Circular route from north, loads of soft snow filling the groughs between peat haggs made for heavy going. | Grinner | 15/12/2019 |
From Ardtalnaig, followed old track through wood to SE, leaving it at wood edge and heading up ridge to Tullich Hill, continuing on to Meall nan Oighreag and Creag Uchdag, dropping down to Allt a'Chartan and following the track on the N side E to a point about 1km SW of Dunan, contouring round to a point WSW of summit of Shee of Ardtalnaig, then up steep W slopes to summit, descending along ridge to peat hags, then more steeply down to the track back to Ardtalnaig | kdbennett | 15/09/2019 |
Solo jog from below Craggan. | amswanston | 19/05/2019 |
Park below Claggan after summiting went on to the Corbett and the Trig 716 | Nozzer | 13/05/2019 |
Chosen to make the best of winter after sun, and avoid freshly fallen snow, but a really fine walk. Parked by the gate across the lane to Claggan Farm, and took the zig-zag tracking up the NW flank of the Shee, which leads to the summit ridge by a green hut. Easy going over frozen peat hags and past the fascinating cleft and ancient landslip of Ciste Buide a'Claidheimh to the summit. Descended the S end of the ridge and took the track back through Gleann a'Chilleine. First rate views along Glen Almond, to Ben Chonzie and across Loch tay to the Lawers group. | Nick Down1 | 20/01/2019 |
From the south, detouring off the Rob Roy way. | summitter | 30/08/2018 |
A short walk for a very poor day for weather - wind and rain. Drove up track/road from Ardtainaig to gate (could have gone all the way to Dunan) then continued on track round to S side to avoid headwind and rain on ridge. An easy walk even in the conditions and would have been a very pleasant outing on a better day. | dickscroop | 26/08/2018 |

Invergeldie CP> Creag Uchdag > Shee of Ardtalnaig [Ciste Buide a' Claidheimh] > Creagan na Beinne > Invergeldie CP. Cleft came as a suprise. Descended to far south instead of south south east to Dunan. | Jhimmy | 07/07/2018 |
Overnight route from Ardtalnaig, parking just S of start of minor road. Crossed to N side of bridge then took route on N side of stream before heading up to Beinn Bhreac (fairly flat summit), SSE to beallach then steady climb to Creagan na Beinne. Descended S then steeply WSW to fork in track leading to SE end of Shee of Ardtalnaig. Steep climb to flat summit ridge, camped a little further along before descending N end of ridge to reach minor road back to Ardtalnaig. Mainly cloud, some rain and wind over the tops. | RobertP | 22/07/2017 |

With D Roeder. Parked at Claggan and walked past farm up track on W of hill, then up to long ridge and followed it to summit (16:10). Hail showers; windy; cloud on top. Down SE ridge to track on W; finish 17:45 | dbb | 02/05/2016 |
With Naomi and Marian. Sunny day. Hydro scheme in progress on Ardtalnaig burn, no parking signs at usual spot but still parked there as no workers on a Sunday. | captainslow | 20/03/2016 |

W Jenx, able to drive to farm at Claggan where pleasant farmer/ghillie gave permission to park. Followed track easily to summit ridge then reasonable line through the hags to top. The cleft is amazing when yoy stumble over it! Back same way although can drop off SE end and follow other track back to Claggan. | nordicstar | 22/09/2014 |

For a hill with three names I expected a bit more complexity. For a while with the hares and peat groughs I thought I was on Kinder Scout. However the roaring stag reminded me I was not. | Martin R | 25/10/2011 |
lots of snow, but thawing. Day improved so lunch in the sun with fine vantage over Dunans. Climbed via track to ridge. Return via G.a' Chilleine track. Red kite, toads, frogs, curlew, ptarmigan, blue hares. with John and Mark | niallp | 20/03/2011 |
Ascent from road-head below Claggan. Room to park one car before gate (do not park beyond), with bigger parking area down hill. Came back via Gleann a' Chilleine. Impressive landslip feature on E side of hill. | Man of Kernow1 | 20/03/2011 |

From Ardtalnaig along right of way to Dunan. Traversing the ridge south to north is surely best as it is gently downhill with fine views across Loch Tay. | Phaedra | 29/01/2011 |
