06/04/2023 Parked opposite Brunachan and waded the freezing river (flip flops ideal for this), then headed straight up Carn Brunachan then on to Carn Dearg. Descended W then SW to col then up east slopes NW to Leana Mhor. Steeply down NE to river, which felt even colder on the second crossing. 10km, 3h 20Rockdoctor06/04/2023

From bridge, river in spate. Tried river path and higher option. Prefered the river path. Even tributaries challenging today. ATV track up the side of the fence after Brunachan to about 380m. Takes some of the pain away - then up the ridge.iangalbraith13/11/2022

From Carn Dearg. Frequent checking of the OS map app until out of the cloud, down to the col. Low fence to cross, easy to negotiate. Steady plod to the featureless top. Followed a faint path along the north north east nose, wanted to contour along one of the parallel roads, but the path led conveniently down to Brunachan. Considerable rainfall made for high flow in the Allt Brunachain but got across without difficulty. Then a plod back in the rain generally on a faint path just above the immediate floodplain.Owen B24/05/2021
Midday, 24 degrees, calm, sunny, route as Gill with Bag For Life. 3.5 hours.Wycombe Wanderer12/08/2020
With Rob and Rosie following the SMC guidebook route parking at the bridge. Second round of the day. Perfect weather. Just under 4 hours.alexmaclennan06/08/2020
A short walk for a very windy day. Parked on a grassy area across the river from Brunachan and crossed the river by the big bend. Only knee deep at the deepest point, so fine for Dexshells. Deer tracks alongside the fence, then hopped over at a grassy area to get onto the ridge. Joined an ATV track higher up which gives a lot of height gain easily, then off piste up the ridge to the top. Stunning views all the way. A good hill. On the way back, I forded the river by the Allt Feith Bhrunachain, which is a an inch or so deeper. Didn't care, it was too windy for more hills.Gill04/11/2019
From bridge by (closed) bothy at head of Glen Roy. Contoured around on Parallell Road to Allt Feith Bhrunachain, up W bank and then crossed to NE flank of Leana Mhor. Reasonable views of expected hills to north.MichaelF27/09/2019
From bridge close to end of road along Glen Roy. Rain eased off and some clearance by time reached the very flat top.RobertP02/06/2019
From bridge at 331909 a stiff pull up to Carn Dearg N top; then on good ground to Creag Tharsuinn; up to Carn Dearg;Carn Bhrunachtan and descending contour round to Leana Mhor and down along the bridge to the former bothy and back along the river bank which was probably the lweast pleasant part of the walk - poor grounddickscroop08/09/2018

The most perfect day. And section 9 complete.jenx15/03/2016
With Jenx from the upstream bridge near Turret Lodge. Had planned to cross the river by fording but found it too deep even to wade at shallows area. Cut up hill from bridge to gain middle 'road' and traversed around this easily to Coire Dubh. Traversed through this and onto the Mhor. Newish deer fence to cross and direct to summit in just over the hour. Superb views on a bright sunny day, no wind and t-shirt weather. Snow line above 800m. Back down the NE ridge to discover an old track which took us down to near Brunachan bothy, current closed for repairs. Back along river reasonably easily to bridge.nordicstar15/03/2016

Parked by footbridge. Over bridge and 1 1/2 miles heading down the glen. Over final stream and gate in a new deer fence to RP. Steeply up over burnt heather patches and long plod to top at 12.00.arranc10/07/2002
Able to cross ruined footbridge to ascend.JohnW12/08/2001
With several friends. Left cars in Glen Roy at the view point. Walked back down the road a little way and then steeply down to the river on the track leading to Cranachan. Icy. Several canoeists were carrying canoes down to the river. A locked gate and fence barred the way to the bridge. A tree was a useful aid in climbing over the fence. We ascended the southern slopes of Leana Mhor, passing point 650m, to reach the summit of 676m. We started to descend to the west and then stopped for a quick meal. Cold. We continued and then turned south. Met a considerable ravine. Two of us found a sheep track/deer track to allow us to cross it and to descend to the top parallel road. The others used a somewhat more difficult way. We followed the parallel road and when it became difficult descended to the next parallel road which was followed for a way. Further on another ravine presented a minor difficulty. A surprisingly large number of people on the road down to Roy Bridge - walking and cycling.pwbellarby02/01/2001
