From tent at top of Slaite Coire after walk in rom Loch Eilt previous day. Uncomplicated route more or less due east to An Stac and then round to take in N top rather hidden behind main ridge. Easy descent on grass to pick up outward route at stream crossing at Gleann aCul an Staca.dickscroop29/05/2023
Cycled from Strathan to end of forestry road just east of Glen Pean Bothy. Walked along atv track from their to east end of Loch Leum an t-Sagairt. Double back slightly to cross river at ford then look for cairns marking start of path along south side of Loch. From west end of Loch walk along foot of Glen then take track higher on south side to avoid Lochan Dubh and boulder field beyond. Pick up stalkers path to quickly gain height above valley and up angled slabs along ridge to Cnoc Gorm. Short drop to bealach and final climb up grassy slope to ridge and summit. SSame return route. Took 8 hrs overall in dry clear conditions.Jossker23/04/2022
3/3 With MKG after Druim a’ Chuirn. Thick clag, no view. Cleared significantly as we came down – but summit still hidden. Camped at Kinlochbeoraid after – better weather, lovely place. Rounsfell17/08/2021
As per SMC guide. A long long way, but a beautiful route. It's been bugging me for years, now it's done, and well worth the effort.IanHHill06/07/2021
From Loch Arkaig road end and back via Oban. Walked round this hill after paddling in to Oban c40 years ago but cant remember whether actually went up it or not. Impressive rock scenery.daviemore21/06/2021
With Gill, Alan and Marion. A big thank you to all who helped to make the trip a success.Topographer5717/06/2021
Very fortunate and grateful that Topographer 57 arranged for 4 of us to stay at Meoble and that Paul, who manages the estate, dropped us at Oban bothy and picked us up. This allowed a W to E traverse of the hill, a splendid outing. Good path to W ridge, then steep, rocky ridge. A formidable nose can be bypassed on grass to the N, then cut back S to regain the ridge. All easy going. Down the E ridge to the splendid path, giving a spectacular return to Oban. Interesting problem solving on the way back with the boat hydraulics disabled by a leak. Top team, a plastic bag and micropore tape saved the day.Gill17/06/2021

Outstanding long route from Arieniskill. Meith Bheinn West Top, Meith Bheinn, An Stac, An Stac North Top, camped low down return along ridge. Continued to climb Druim a' Chuirn, descent to Slaite Coire, down to River Meoble before rough ascent to pass and return to car. Excellent 2 day weather window between days of rain.RobertP28/05/2019
From Glen Pean bothy. Early start. Very useful stalkers’ path from rock fall and then a pleasant walk following burn. Stunning views along Loch Morar and beyond. Final Graham celebrated with Alan Whatley. Fabulous morning. Then on to north summit.Campbell Singer02/05/2019
Sgurr Thuilm - Sgurr nan Coireachan - An Stac - Druim a Chuirn - Meith Bheinn - Creag Bhån - Beinn nan Cabar. Down NW ridge of Sgurr nan Coireachan then down past waterfall and up the Allt an Toll Gainmhich.Clive G01/05/2019

Viv's Morarboat to Oban bothy. Direct up hill between a V line between two burns, aiming for a large rectangular boulder at nearly 500m. A steep pull rewarded by easy line thereafter to summit. Day turned dreek as we went on to Meith Bheinn and Druim a' Chuirn before returning to the bothy via stalkers path in Glen Taodhail, crossed high up as now in spate!nordicstar10/08/2016
A great round of hills. Just a shame that the promised fine day did not materialise. So wet on the way out! Everything running water.jenx10/08/2016
From Strathan. Went S of large lochan (John Barnard reports N side is diabolical). Past rockfall, took stalker's path N then ridge to Cnoc Gorm. Bypassed small lochan and rockfall on higher ground to S on return - this would be a better ascent route.Galltywenallt15/04/2016
Second visit and all to claim the north top. Tough round from Oban bothyColin Crawford12/04/2016
From the bothy. And then over Drum aChuirn and Meith Bheinn to the road.Martin R09/09/2015
Ascended en route from Oban Bothy to west end of Loch Eilt. Very steep ascent from Oban Bothy - would not recommend to anyone! With Steven and his friend Chrysraffemeister13/06/2015

An obliging boatman meant that I could get to the Oban bothy at the east end of Loch Morar to climb this hill in only 5 3/4 hours. The excellent stalkers path to the east of the hill goes right around the hill and back to the bothy.arranc14/06/2013

Ascended after a long walk along Glen Pean from Strathan. Picked up the path from Oban, which surprisingly had old railings in steep places to help the ascent. A remote hill, which is best climbed as on this occasion in good weather.JohnW19/05/2004
ascend excellent W ridge, fine compact summit. A830; tk E of Allt Fheithe a Chatha, clockwise RHW03/04/1999

A bit of info: Met the ghillie at Allt an Loin. The estate has banned boat trips up Loch Morar and has threatened to evict the MBA from Oban bothy if any trips take place.Gillblank
