Parked in the small car park by the road junction in Abergynolwyn, up the road/track. I think I struck off on to the hillside too soon as I had an arduous, pathless climb. I descended on the zig zag track which added considerably to the distance but was still a lot more preferable. Great views from the top.clivevilla25/10/2023
From Dolgoch waterfall walks that eventually led up through west side woodland and up onto open hillside for a long day over satellites of Tarrenhedre and Tarren y Gesail back down into Aberglynolwen three miles back along the main road to Dolgoch car park.vegibagger15/06/2022
From Craig Goch on forest track contouring the SE side of the Lago valley then easily up from col. Sadly Denise lost her favorite blue fleece hat on the forest track.RichardM14/01/2022
Mossy slate hummock near fence line. From Graig Goch via forest tracks (&lost hat) - better, we thought, than a more direct route- and onto Foel Du on the other side of the valley. Followed steep, vegetated and pathless north ridge to the valley. Absolutely superb day- clear ,sunny, still and even warm!Denise 13/01/2022

12.5 mile circular walk from Abergynolwyn in perfect weather, walked up lane to forest, went out and back to Foel Pandy, continued following lane to end then final pull onto Tarren Y Gesail, followed path down and gained ridge at Foel y Geifr, then carried on to Mynydd Rhyd-Galed East Top and Mynydd Rhyd-Galed, then onto Tarrenhendre from summit followed poles along path back into the forest where the trees have taken over the path, followed forest lanes back to Abergynolwyn, very nice walk with views of Cadair Idris, Diffwys and even Plynlimon.DanTrig27/09/2015
Third summit of the day starting from the Minffordd hotel, I climbed up the very steep Ceiswyn and then down to the A487 and up to Craig Goch, following the ridge and then dropping down to cross the river and then up the very steep slopes of this hill. It was really a proper scramble made more difficult by the bilberry and heather. Great views from the top!Dazingdale09/05/2014
