From the Aber falls car park on a circuit of the northern Carneddau. The path that traverses above the Aber falls is a splendid route, winding through outcrops spectacularly, and the falls were in full flow. From a ruined sheepfold in the valley above straight up to Llywtymor Bach, then Llwtymor, contoured below the summit of Foel-fras, Drum, Carnedd y Ddelw, down to Bwlch y Ddeufaen, Foel Leyden, Tal y fan then a return to the car park along the track tha5 follows the pylons. 21 km in good timeRockdoctor01/10/2022

Path from road to col between the two summits then Tal y Fan and Foel Lwyd Clear path and easy going all the way. A couple of small parking slots near start or lane end to east.dickscroop20/12/2021
From CP to S then following track/ROW until we got past the impressive DSW. Shame about the pylons. Then followed DSW to summit. Very slippery in low cloud with no views sadly. Summit rock not obvious in amongst the gorse. With whole family although Carla did not hop over the wall. About 180m ascent.RoguePulsar13/10/2021

Reached while walking the Nuttalls route of the Northern Carneddau. After summiting Taly y Fan returned to the car over Foel Lwyd requiring a climb over a high wall but there are several protruding stones that act like a style.WAYNE ROWLETT04/08/2019
Foel Llwyd and Tal y Fan from the bwlch car park. Scrambled up through the quarries then by the annoyingly tall wall to the summit. Excellent views westwards and very wet going after all the recent rainfall.Jake99415/06/2019

I drove up the single track road from Tal-y-Bont through Llanbedr-y-cennin. I was unfortunately trapped between a tractor towing a trailer in front and another farmer's vehicle behind. We very slowly ascended without the opportunity to stop and check where we were going. Found myself at Bwlch-y-gaer, backtracked and on to the car park at road-end at Bwlch y Ddeufaen. Walked along the roman road past the two standing stones and on the NW and N sides of walls to Foel Lwyd. Actual highest point is on S side of wall but not far from wall where is ground is only very slightly lower. On to Tal y Fan.pwbellarby14/04/2018
