Car park on minor road running from Torver. Used forestry tracks and paths (but got caught in a mesh of fallen trees at one stage) to move E and gain the track running N by River Lickle. When near top took fairly direct route to Pikes, then Green Pikes, return E and by fence across Caw Moss to climb Lag Bank. On to Banks and return to start. Rather wet, but clouds not too low. | RobertP | 01/01/2023 |
From Pikes, no path but the way is obvious, unlike the way back down to Hall Dunnerdale. | Andrew Pearson | 21/09/2022 |
From Pikes it is just a short walk to Green Pikes. After leaving the summit and going through a gate we followed Gobbling Beck back down to the car where we stopped for a Pint in the Newfield inn before heading home. ( the following day we did the Tolkien Trail, a wedding fare and the Sunday dinner in the Royal Oak) | Scotty 2 Hotty | 06/08/2022 |

Parked at the top of the pass at Kiln Bank Cross (SD 214 932) to do a round of the Dunnerdale Fells and Caw. Walked anticlockwise visiting Stickle Pike, Tarn Hill, Dunnerdale Fells and Great Stickle first before dropping down to Broughton Mills. Then along the delightful ridge of The Knott, Raven's Crag and Fox Haw. Dropping down again before ascending the main objective of Caw using the track to the quarry on the north side and the zig zag track to the trig perched on its grand summit. Continued on to Pikes and down to Green Pikes. Collected Brock Barrow and Park Head Road Top on the way back. 12 summits in all! 17km with 1200m ascent in 6h30m. (S) | silveracorn_alan | 20/06/2020 |

WOs 31,32 and 33. A wet morning and set off with Joyce in drizzle from Turner Farm campsite and followed W's route over Caw, Pikes and Green Pikes. Soon cleared up and sun came out with great views. Caught up a group of students near quarry but got slightly lost in the fields on the way down. Good route up, not so good down. | BURGESS | 22/07/2017 |
AW's route over Caw, Pikes and Green Pike from Seathwaite. High winds nearly dislodged me from Caw's summit. A superb walk. Worth taking a look at the Glyder-like set of rock spikes North of the summit of Green Pike. | Nick Down1 | 01/05/2017 |

Part of Wainwright walk, not much to see here. | Nick | 13/09/2016 |
A great feeling of spaciousness looking over lush Dunnerdale under a brooding sky. Walking to here from Stephenson Ground is walking through a door from rolling pasture and into mountain country. Surprised White Pike isn't a Wainwright summit. | Wycombe Wanderer | 01/09/2016 |
Done with RT & SW from Seathwaite taking in Pikes, Caw and Great Stickle. Lovely weather and brilliant views. Nice pint in the Newton Inn to round off a fabulous day. | falunty | 19/04/2016 |

Walked from Seathwaite using Wainwright's Outlying Fells on my own. Bright sunny spells, quite warm once I was out of the wind. I found Wainwright's gap in the wall and started well on the route down but then lost it among very high bracken and had to battle through to get to the gated lane. To be fair Wainwright does warn that this is a possibility! | flockwatcher | 26/08/2015 |
