Disappointing access arrangements (reported by others and still in place now) in Fortingall mean the obvious circuit of Meall na Aighean and associated Simms / Sub-Simms isnít possible. My solution was to park at NN7146647746, cross the stile at NN7163447826, take the right track to a gate at NN7172647927. The gate gives access to tracks west / east from which a circuit of the hills can be made. Notes: I couldnít find the footbridge marked at NN721496 on the 2:25000 map but the stream was fordable when I was there. Also the nearby bothy marked on the map is now a ruin.BaggerGutt27/04/2023

Up track from Fortingall through Balnald Steading, past stalking warnings. Left track for easy grassy slope alongside wall from SE, down over peat hags to col.alda03/11/2015
