Parking at Mhuille Greens NH283386. Hydro tk then ATV tk (now a linear bog) to about NH282419, then a TR E to bealach and up Garbh-charn. Back to bealach, then ascending TR NE on steep rough grass across Coire Gorm to join high old FP up to bealach W of Aonach na Reise. Sgurr na Ruaidhe, Carn nan Gobhar, re-ascended 90m of Sgurr na Ruaidhe, then short TR S to re-join boggy ATV tk for descent (easier going than descending Sliabhach into Coire Mhuillidh) | Isbjorn 3rd Round | 30/08/2024 |
Repeat with Yeltzbagger. A lot of pain in my back going through all the bog on the walk in, but the views from the top were magical. I was fine coming down - probably over anxious about getting back for gate because I can't move very quickly! | Stevie n Tay | 08/07/2024 |
With Stevie n Tay. | Yeltzbagger | 08/07/2024 |
Surprisingly long and slightly tedious (featureless) ascent from the col to the west, then long descent down path which becomes exceedingly waterlogged for bottom half, irritatingly. Quick, though. | NorfolkPT21 | 01/06/2024 |
Harder than expected and really boggy climb to first hill but a great day for it. with Barry! | Kevthecat | 31/08/2023 |
Sgurr na Ruaidhe, Carn nan Gobhar, Sgurr a' Choire Ghlais, Creag Ghorm a' Bhealaich, Sgurr Fhuar-thuill & Sgurr na Fearstaig from parking at Loch a' Mhuillidh. | JasonStark | 08/04/2023 |
Circuit of the Strathfarrar Munros. Walkhighlands route with Sgurr na Fearstaig top added at end. | hummusg | 27/10/2022 |
Stayed at the Inverness YH over the weekend. I headed up the private Glen Strathfarrar.

I bagged Sgurr na Ruaidhe (995m) one of the four munros in the glen and my 184th. I only had time for a short day and I plan on doing the other three from Glen Orrin to the north.

The mist was continuously blown through in spates form the east, 05:00hrs all in. | chillyman8 | 23/10/2022 |
Sept Strathfarrar adventure. | kitmacleod | 15/09/2022 |
Strathfarrar circuit | Geoff Briggs | 16/07/2022 |
...4/4 - this leg slightly more tricky - cloud was down and route takes a bit of a double S to avoid steeper ground and lose of height - but obvious if you have a proper look at the map. There isn't an obvious descent path (That I found anyway) - following the burn down the ground is broken in places and boggy but the track to start point is soon reached | wychwood | 10/06/2022 |
With the Winter vehicular access arrangement defunct, had to cycle in to NH283385 (one hour). ATV tk most of the way up SW ridge of Sgurr na Ruaidhe. On to Carn nan Gobhar and back to col at NH280431. Faint FP, S, vanished in heather and snowdrifts, int. deer tracks below 600m contour led back to ATV tk. 6 hour circuit. 45 mins to cycle out. Wind and rain most of the day. | Isbjorn Winter Round | 12/03/2022 |
From the car park at the Glen Strathfarre Sgurr na Ruaidhe, Carn nan Gobhar, Sgurr a Choire Ghlais, Creag Ghorm a Bhealaich, Sgurr Fhuar-thuill and Sgurr na Fearstaig. 15.5 miles, in cloud the whole time and very windy. Exhausting walk, especially having to run the last 4 miles to get out of the park on time. | Lazylizzie | 25/09/2021 |

A long day in the wilds of Strathfarrar - after clambering out of a frost-covered tent in Roy Bridge at 5am, followed by a 1.5hr drive up to the entrance gate into Glen Strathfarrar, I parked up and cycled the 8miles through the glen to the end point of the (clockwise) munro circuit. Then a 15.5 mile walk with nearly 1700m/ 5500ft of ascent over the four munros, I had a decent dose of the jelly legs by the time I got back to the bike. Another 8 mile ride back out of the glen, and the car was a welcome sight. Great day up on the ridge though - one to remember! | mproudfoot | 27/09/2020 |
Descended from Garbh-charn then ascended to summit. Still windy with intermittent cloud. | 187lenny | 16/09/2018 |

Not sure if it was tired legs from the previous day but this hill ascent just seemed to go on forever. Wet, cold and miserable day too! | FCMark | 04/05/2014 |
Solo, 1st of 4 on an overcast day. Rather than waiting for the gate I cycled in, 1hr. Around 2hr15 to summit. Remember it being quite boggy most of the way. | bowzi | 28/09/2013 |
Early start at the gates by 0830; first summit damp but getting better with warm summit at the end. | Capt Malbec | 14/09/2013 |
