Excellent parking at SH353440. Tk to col at SH362454, then relentless grind up to summitIsbjorn30/01/2024
Hommage to Rory Gowland. Alumni gathered at summit to toast his memory with Rory's own cider. Outstanding weather for it.richardrosser15/10/2023
Ascent from col to north. Incredible cloud inversion at about 500m. Bright sunshine at top with a sea of white below and distant mountains poking their tops out. Never seen anything like it before. Twiggy not really impressed.desperate dan09/10/2023
From Llanaelhaearn, via B4417 and FP. Very scrambly over boulder fields. Next to Tre'r Ceiri on a much better path.IanHHill30/08/2023
Easy up gravel track opposite large car park, 20 - 30 mins up to path on right, steep up to some ruins then steepish and a bit scrambly in sections but not too hard to top, back down same way but straight across main path up to quarry building with fine viewpoint, back to startTribal2er25/07/2023
20 years and 17 days since I was last up here. And I didn't have a view then either.Minto19/07/2023
On good path on a direct line from Trer Ceiri. With Jill & MintoDangerous Dave19/07/2023
2 of 3 after night in the Motorhome parked on croes-higol road. From the quarry up steep track. A few stops needed in the blistering sun but what a view at the top!! Marilyn no. 75The-Z-Man01/06/2023
Walked with my Dad. It was mostly drysimonjallen13/03/2023
Up and back from the car park. Super foggy day and tricky walk in places. Obvious path but some slippery/ rocky sections. Had lunch at the top, sheltered in circle of stones next to trig.Hippy7716/02/2023
From Trefor for a round of Gyrn Ddu, Bwlch Mawr and Yr Eifl.rhalstead29/12/2022
Made a right cock up of this as did not look at the map and just headed straight up from the car park. On the lower slopes it was not too bad but higher up it was thick heather and large boulders. Took just over 30 minutes to the top. Views were stunning in every direction. Found the proper path on the way back down so it was slightly longer but a lot easier. Including the 20 minutes of relaxation on the summit it took me 70 minutes for 2.16 miles. Saw Stonechats Meadow Pipits Raven and out to sea a Gannet. Climbed Snowdon the day before but I have to say this hill would be my choice every time.isabelle31/08/2022
Parked in the main car park to the south west at 35298 44069, ascended from the south and descended towards the quarry, Two and half mile taking an hour twenty.WAYNE ROWLETT20/08/2022

The three Yr Eifl summits - clockwise from Mt Pleasant CP. Good hills - pleasant walk.Crib Goch26/07/2021
From the Mount Pleasant car park along the ROW to the exceptional fortifications of Tre'r Ceiri, then over to the interesting Trig of Yr Eifl and on to the panoramic peak of its North Top. Fascinating walk in fabulous weather - just a shame that Wales was getting trounced at Euro 2020 as we wandered up and down the rocky trails.summitter26/06/2021
From Tre'r Ceiri you can head through one of the fort entrances and down to the bwlch between the fort and Yr Eifl. From here there is a good path, not shown on the OS map, which leads to the summit of Yr Eifl. Stunning views from the top.Wheelsy26/06/2021
Circular of three Yr Eifl tops at an easy pace. Parked near Llithfaen in carpark at SH 353 440. Followed Welsh Coast Path then up steps past mast to Yr Eifl North Top. Down to col then vague path up to Yr Eifl summit. Across another col and up to the impressive stone hillfort at Tre'r Ceiri hillfort. Followed clear undulating paths back to car park. Bright sunny day; warm but rather hazy. Great views.Skip16/04/2021
Used car park north of Llithfaen. Circular walk of 6.5k capturing Yr Eifl and North Top on a beautiful afternoon.Ramblingpaul07/04/2021
Evening ascent of Yr Eifl from the car park to the west at SH 352 440. Splendid sunset over the Lleyn Peninsular and Irish Sea. 3.4km with 290m ascent in 1h20m there and back. (S)silveracorn_alan17/09/2020
Great 5 mile circular from road junction just outside Llithfaen, we followed paths across the flanks of Yr Eifl, joined the coast path following it up to its highest point; the col between Yr Eifl and its north top, bagged Yr Eifl north top by following steps up to mast compound then trail over boulders to cairn on top. We then retraced our steps to the col and climbed fairly steeply to Yr Eifl summit, after we followed trails to Tre'r Ceiri then back down to the car. Afterwards we drove around to and bagged Mynydd Carnguwch. Amazing weather; not a cloud in the sky with views of Snowdonia, Plynlimon, Anglesey and the Lleyn Peninsular, you could even spot the Pembrokeshire hills along Cardigan Bay. A few people about.DanTrig14/09/2020
From small layby on B4417. with Tilly & Jack. Very wet, very windy ascent in middle of day. Misty and no views, teens did not enjoy it. will have to redo this again on a clear day to enjoy itmazz02/09/2020
Parked at the highpoint on A4417 as it splits. Up initially grass field then on paths ocer moorland. Followed path by wall to summit, down sligjtly to north to visit Iron age fort. 2/7 Marilyn... 1300thN.Morters17/07/2020

Parked in layby on A4417 between Y Eifl and Mynynedd Carnguwch By 252 on OS map - Across field - up Y Eifl first in a very strong wind. Summit and trig (withits fancy ironwork) bagged we enjoy the views before moving on to visit Tre Ceiri the Iron Age hill fort (that never fails to impress. On the way back to the hotel we stop to walk along Morfa Aberarch to bag the trig at Pen-ychain (23m) - A quiet windswept beach with fab views across to the Rhinogsbriandavies21/03/2020
Happy ascent when cloud too low for the higher mountains.sara.oldshipinn28/09/2019
From junction at 367433, across field to stile S of Caergribin and clear path to next gate. Choice there of going W downhill or stiking across to fence and direct ascent. Faint path reported for a March ascent not found with August undergrowth! Came down good path towards SW car park before crossing to Caergribin - that looks a better route!henryfm24/08/2019
From car park, main path up onto ridge then directly up hill. Good path all the way. Descended the same route. Very pleasant hill.JulieB11/08/2019
From large CP to the SW, using the coastal path. Visited YR Eifl first (summit in hill fog) & then on to the superb N top (summit clear - good views). Popular hills.ger17/07/2019
After Gyrn Ddu- no visibility here either. Direct route to summit through heather and over boulders but found a path to descend on.NormanW12/07/2019
2/2 Marilyn for the day. Yr Eifl from the car park to the west. Unfortunately, the view was spoilt by mist on top. (S)silveracorn_alan09/05/2019

Revisit with Peterborough MC friends Lies, Melisa and Pawel, on a day when bigger hills rained off, round of the 3 Rivals from car park to SW. Finding the long lost original trig pillar lying half buried in the summit shelter was a nice bonus.RHW17/12/2017

Nice hill and great views of iron age hillfort ramparts on adjacent hill. Parked to SW at picnic spot (plenty of spaces) and followed unmarked track up SW ridge to summit, easy return down slope to NW then back via coast path ROW.Cas-gwent02/05/2017
With Trefor. Parked in car park north of Llithfaen. North top (aerial) first then south on path to main summit. On to Tre'r Ceiri after which must be the best example of a hill fort in the country and is well worth a visitmike.hoult07/04/2017
