16.47 from mountaineering club hut in Rhydd Ddu where staying with York Alpine Club. First person met Elderly rugged bearded Ray, local resident and volunteer National park warden.followed by four guys from Manchester, a guy and two women from different parts of London but all employees of Lush and I'm sure I could detect the strong smell of the Lush shop wafting off them even out here in the open air. Then got overtaken by couple from Milton Keynes who'd later passed me on their way down as I was still continuing my slow trudge up, into the eventual cloud. Disappointed to find summit cafe closed up. Hideous weather on the summit. Clagged in and howling a bitter gale. Two guys from Manchester posed for a summit selfie with me on this celebratory tenth ascent of Snowdon, nearly 54 years after it being my first Welsh Marilyn, four weeks after coming out of nine weeks in hospital, having miraculously survived a bellyful of 300 shotgun pellets from 9 feet across the landing 2am 28th Feb... | vegibagger | 14/04/2024 |

Snowdon via Llanberis path in snow. Took the path route after Clogwyn Station but saw plenty of people descending via the snow-covered blackspot on the railway line. They were in utter peril, feet above the cliffs of Clogwyn Coch, completely unprotected and many visibly terrified as they inched their way down on compacted, slippery snow in their trainers and wellies. Something more needs to be done to deter them.

Came back via the NW ridge and Tryfan, very good views of the slate mine on Elidir Fawr. | Barns150 | 30/01/2024 |
Parked at rhyd ddu train station car park 5 or 6 pound for whole day until midnight.
Up the rhyd ddu path, daily quiet, 3 hts to the top, very busy in the cafe and queue for the summit, didn't hang about, back down yhe rangers path left at 5he fords across style through old slate quarry and back to start for 7hr loop, prob could have done it in 6rs without stops. Path after rangers was rougher and boggier than expected. | Tribal2er | 22/10/2023 |
