From holiday cottage in Knock. Pennine Way up to Knock Fell, Great Dun Fell, Little Dun Fell and Cross Fell. Had lunch at wind shelter on Little Dun Fell with nigelcmason2. Back over Little Dun Fell and descended to Silverband Mine, crossed Knock Ore Gill without too much difficulty and then roads back to Knock. Starting off cloudy, windy and cold but cleared during lunch.Herbert Anchovy17/08/2023

Sue,Boo,Tash,Alex,Mike & I all spent a warm June afternoon avoiding the advancing Roma nation by going up from Kirkland at the bridleway and coming down from Teeshead via Grumply Hill back to Kirkland. Stunning views all around.Alphaville19904/06/2022

With John - parked at the church in Kirkland, then up the 'Pennine Journey' path, onto the ridge, along to Knock Old Man, then down the path to Milburn and back across fields to the car. 16 miles in all, but it would be a brave walker to set off on the direct route from Great Dun Fell back to Kirkland. Magnificent views from the summit - the best I've seen from any hill in England, so make sure it's a clear day if you're planning to do this.Richard18/04/2022
