8th and final hill of a traverse from Martley to Great Malvern continuation from North Hill in rain but very humid too. Went past Topograph and onto summit rocks before arriving at Trig pillar. Descent via small track, just intact and that dropped me onto quarry tracks that meandered down to Lower Wyche and then via footpath to urban roads leading to Great Malvern station. Last summit of the day on a 3 day 10 county top expedition with 26 school students and 3 teachers (including me). Very nice weather - dry and mostly sunny, but some high cloud. We did this one at close to sunset. Climbed from Upper Beacon Car Park (Upper Wyche). Obvious route along the ridge with a choice of paths and tracks, to the viewpoint indicator. I've done this one before as part of a longer trek along the whole Malvern Hills ridge. Lovely part of the world. | jamessteel100 | 04/04/2023 |

Parked opposite a bus stop on the B4232 heading south from West Malvern - if you get to the spring you have gone too far. But hey - grab some water before you turn back. The walk is very steep in places, but boy worth every minute of it; even in 30+ degree heats today. The views from the top are breathtaking and when combined with parachutists at the summit, simply amazing. Fabulous peak to visit and definitely one I'll be returning to on my second lap of the complete Marilyn's! | jamiequackers | 19/07/2021 |
Cycled over the Severn from Winchcombe, via Tewksbury. Hard in the heat to cycle up to the ridge at Upper Wyche, especially with the 30C heat. Left our bikes at the H2O cafe and walked up to the beacon. Fabulous views in all directions. On the clearest days you can see 8 other County Tops from here. | pclyndes | 19/07/2021 |
