Filled in some gaps starting at 769655 and visiting Esgair Garthen first then back to Crug Gynon, Crug Gynon Crug Gynon S Top, Pen y Tywi, Pen y Tywi S.Top and finally Pen-y-bwlch on the way back. About 13.5 miles and about 5 and a half hours. The weather had been fairly dry but there wwere still quite a lot of boggy and pathless parts.clivevilla12/05/2019

From Claerwen Reservoir (SN 87068 63638). Clear paths throughout, ground saturated in places.david23020125/01/2015
Claerwen Dam- Esgair Garthen- Crug yr wyn (pt 518) E ridge- Afon Arban- Claerwen Dam; a fine, remote walk: good on the ridges, no path in the valley and tussocky. 2km from the dam a trod did emerge- there, the best scenery of the walk. With Petepwheeler01/05/2005
