| Parked in lay-by on A 831. E along Beasdale Burn to just above waterfalls, then N keeping to W of Allt Sgùrr Nighean Mhic Choinnich to less steep ground around 400m. Finally W over boggy terrain (lots of orchids) and through rocky outcrops to cairn. Back same way. | MichaelF | 29/05/2024 |
| From layby at NM 7157 8506. Good path along Beasdale Burn. Did not find Gill's good deer trod up, so battled thru vegetaion and steep hillside to eventually gain ridge, picking up a good deer trod after first false summit. Onto Beinn nan Cabar (over two hills!). Return generally E/SE (over the west top) to pick up imaginary path at NM 746850. This eventually improves but leads to south side of stream - do not cross. | Clockwise route with 2 cars parked at 1) layby on large road bend just before Beasdale Bridge 2) offroad on road junction to Borrodale House. Followed wet track NE above Borrodale Burn before heading E off piste into Coire an Easa Bhain and up to 520m spot height for lunch. Then onto trig and hp. Good views W to the islands. Descended easterly towards Allt Sgurr Nighean Mhic Choinnich before turning S towards Glen Beasdale and the track back to the road. | Train from Lochailort to Beasdale. East along the main road, then along the track to the faint path to the substantial and well constructed sheep fold. Good, clear, steep grassy rake in between heather heading north, then easier gradient north east to the impressive rocky twin summits. Then on to the two Marilyns further east. | Up Glen Beasdale to just before bealach before heading N and then W to reach the complex and rocky summit. Continued W across rough ground to pick up the Borrodale 'path' which was very wet and overgrown in places, even in November! Probably better returning by ascent route. | An anti-clockwise loop heading up Glen Beasdale on a good path before heading North and then West to reach the summit. Descended directly South from the summit and returned via the path to the lay-by on the A830. | From Borrodale. Path very overgrown with bracken. Left path at 703863 [appx] and meandered up over various lumps to summit. Biting insects abounded, but not midges. Views from summit magnificent. I could even see the hills of South Uist. | From Glen Beasdale. Good path along the glen, although spate conditions on outward journey. Turned N about 600m before Bealach a' Mhama and climbed to approach Sithean Mor summit (in mist) from the east, visiting summit and trig point areas. Camped to N of summit, then continued to Druim Comhnard, and the excellent lower tops of Sgurr Nighean Mhic Choinich NE Top, Sgurr Nighean Mhic Choinich, and Beinn nan Caorach. | Oarked in the laybyon bend just NE of Beasdale Bridge. Followed the Glen Beasedale path to just past the sheepfold. Headed over initially rough ground onto main slopes then followed the line of grassy gullies towards the summit. Good time of year to do it when no bracken and it was pretty dry, so steep but no difficulties. | Bagged from Borrodale. Parked on the wide grass verge opposite the Borrodale junction, then followed the footpath signposted to Loch Morar alongside the house drive then crossing the lawn to a large gate. Lovely clear path through trees, emerges onto the moor by power lines, joins a wet ATV track, then detour to path by the river for a bridge across side stream; higher up, the path traverses high above the ATV track, rejoins it later, running higher up than the mapped path. Via northernmost of the 2 western lochans using deer tracks, then up the S side of Coire Easan Bhana to the ridge NE of pt 440, side of pt 520 to the trig and the summit a little further on. The summit is interesting, a rocky cockscomb. The rest of the hill is weird, a lot of weaving around bumps and dodging up grassy gullies and it's somewhat, er, boggy and rough. | Gill | 07/05/2021 |

| From parking spot just out-board of the Armco, adjacent to gate, NM715852 - tricky to get into due to speed of traffic on the improved road. Path up Glen Beasdale starts well, but it's second purpose is a drainage channel. Gradually deteriorates until vanishes at a patch of slabby rock, circa, NM740856.
