Good parking at the forestry bell-mouth to the SE. Followed the road round the hill till the quarry and then cut up to the summit over steep ground littered with wind blown trees. The summit sits within a large electric fence area containing coos. Didn't test if the fence was live. They have churned up the wood a bit making progress slow. Summit is a definite rocky top. Descended to go exploring the nearby Castle Spynie. With Nozzer.BigJ07/01/2024
From the road - through a gate in the electric enclosure (for horses but none had been there recently) and easily through the runnable pine wood to the summit.fasgadh28/10/2022
Saw a fence of fabric bandsÖ.not sure if itís electric but easy to go under it. When parking up a hare came over to the car and looked at me, never seen a hare so close up before.Adrian19/05/2022
Similar route to ChrisR. Upper part of hill fenced off with electric fence - maybe forestry study going on.willyross17/09/2021
2 of 2: Parked at 541413. Forest track for 6 mins. Then up through trees to the right for 3 mins. Small clearing with a mossy outcrop at the top. Icy. Lots of footprints on the track in the snow from dog walkers. With Karen.ChrisR02/01/2021
