On my first RBS HWC weekend at Cannich. I was slow to catch onto the plans to take a boat up Loch Mullardoch and arrived at the end of loch as the party were setting off. I am not sure there would have been space for another passenger. I headed off on my own and climbed the most easterly of the Mullardoch Munros Carn nan Gobhar and its associated Munro Top Creag Dubh.langskill26/05/2001

On an overcast & windy day with Shaky, an attempt at the Mullardoch munros. From E end of loch, used path along loch then immediately up the E bank of Allt Mullardoch. Followed good path high on to ridge below Creag Dubh & then worked way along main ridge over Carn nan Gobhar, Sgurr na Lapaich & An Riabhachan & its tops. Abandoned the continuation to An Socach on grounds of dusk rapidly approaching, so dropped SE & crossed Allt Socrach high up & then followed path to loch side. Ran into trouble trying to cross Allt Taige as whatever bridge there might once have been was no longer there. In gathering darkness headed back up hill following the rather full river. After about a km, found a jumping spot. Rejoined the path, put the headtorches on & stumbled back to the car.NotReallyABagger16/04/1993
