Had a look at parking by the reservoir but didn't fancy it, too narrow, too wet off road, too many gates, so went back down and parked by the gravel heaps west of the track entrance. Uneventful plod to the summit, no cows.Owen B29/03/2024
Sunny morning after a wet and windy night. Parked on lane opposite and walked up reservoir track and onwards to top. Good views, though cloud base on the big mountains ENE still about 1500 ft.pwheeler19/03/2024

On signposted track from the A77.Winterfloodian22/06/2022
When I saw concrete track up to reservoir, thought there might be a bonus drive up all the way to the radio mast and summit. Unfortunately it finished at the reservoir with no hardstanding for parking or turning, so had to reverse the 200m back to the A77. Straight forward walk up concrete service road to reservoir and nosey cows, then on up atv track to radio mast, albeit muddy in places. Visited high point at trigpoint and wandered to various other candidates, then returned by same route. Magnificent sunset over the Irish Sea.mntainman07/11/2021

My 4th hill of 8 today on a circular Hill-bagging adventure from Portpatrick but my First ever Scottish Marilyn. Hills climbed commenced with Craigbouie Fell, Killantrigan Fell and Craigenlee Fell, taking a bearing to follow a fenceline to Knockarod where I met with the old Military road at NW032 565. I climbed over a stile on the track upto Challock hill and followed the Pinminnoch burn to where another stream feeds into it and then I followed this South East veering off occasionally to avoid boggy ground. Many fences to climb! I eventually arrived at the start of the steeper ground leading to the summit plateau. A short pull up and I was by the trig. Conditions were misty with rain coming in but I could still sense the views would be far-reaching. Descent was via the track heading South that eventually joins the A77.Dazingdale05/05/2015
Cycled up the track to the logged gates and walked the last half mile.Walker Dan18/04/2015
