Parked a few yds along minor road from roundabout E of Creagan. Route up as per Gill. On descent got to gate at 97745-44768. Track from there to road about 200 yds E of where parked.duchally02/05/2023
From Creagan Inn via SW ridge. Marilyn number 1000. Back down to celebrate with morning coffee and scones on decking overlooking sea at Creagan Inn. Sunny but windy with good views.Winterfloodian10/06/2022
1st part as per Hugh's book. Parked at Creagan Inn, through the archway, over a gate, track around back of deserted building, through a 2nd gate, cross the small stream on the right and up the slope (on animal tracks) to a gate in a wall then up the ridge. From there we continued on a full horseshoe over the next 2 TumPs then onto the 2 Simms Beinn Mhic na Ceisich and Meall Ban, then down to col and up beside a fence to Meall Don. Left a car. From the summit of Meall Donn descended relatively directly SE to pick up an ATV track and back to Inverhyle where we left a 2nd car. Quite a big walk to do these 2 marilyns 11.2 miles, 3,750ft of climbing. Very soggy underfoot around most of the ridge. Out for around 7.5hrs. With KeithByTheC.JulieB06/05/2022
From Creagan Inn. Through arch under railway, round back of disused farmhouse & across stream. Up steeply by crag for short distance. Then easier slopes to gate in wall. Plod from there. Ascent as per 'The Hughs' by Andrew Dempster. KeithByTheC06/05/2022
From roundabout.jimbloomer14/05/2021
A fine walk up the SW ridge. Parking seems to be quite tricky except a small lay by on the minor road just past the roundabout. Back towards Creagan and through the first gate, the track runs out after a few yards. Across the stream, then across the old railway line, dodging a small cutting, then up over the fence onto the hill. Lovely dry grass up to a gate, then rougher going but still very easy. Nice, steep walk, dodging crags, a very fine hill. Visits to both cairns, then down roughly along the fence line to the 400m bealach (gate) dodging steep ground. Short ATV track NE to start descent down Coire Lom, then good deer tracks above fence, wet but easy on grass and flattened rushes. Would be harder in summer. Across the main track onto a wet ATV track to the river. B*gger...too deep after rain, so Beinn Donn has to wait. A pleasant walk out along the track and the cycle path back to the roundabout.Gill04/11/2020

On Day 2 of TGO Challenge. Easy summit with a long ridgePhreerunner13/05/2017
Our impromptu trip was rewarded by a second day of sunny blue skies, little wind and great views- perfect weather.Denise 28/02/2016
Steep ascent from the W Top, soft snow, sunshine, SW breeze, excellent views. Too many cairns in the wrong place on this summit! There's a small cairn on rocky rib to W of the large cairn, the obvious fine large cairn which at the time we assumed was the high point but for an unknown reason we chose to have lunch at the small cairn to the E of the large cairn which is actually the highest point (+2m according to gps) Make sure you visit them all!RichardM28/02/2016
From the old station. Circuit of the two. A good walk.jenx05/01/2016
With Jenx, from holiday park and old station to South. Beinn Churalain and Beinn Donn ACW. Good spur up to pt 430, after Churalain a drop to the beck between at 140m then climb back up Donn passing the old shepherds house and fank. Very wet in places, a good walk and better than taking the two separately. Easy drop back down direct to old railway line and car.nordicstar05/01/2016
Anticlockwise circuit up some some initially difficult brackeny birchy hillside, visiting the OS bolt, over first the 549 m Marilyn then the tump to the north east and then contouring west to the lower 430m tump and down the sw ridge in the dusk and lower six got high bracken and open woodland in dark.vegibagger15/10/2015

Direct return down rough SW ridge via gate in stone wall at NM 97700 45046. Amazing views down to and beyond Loch Creran.Topographer5714/05/2015

From near the road junction, wet path through woods. Once you are out of the woods, nice easy terrain. Large cairn on summit. Rather windy, misty and wet. Creggan Arms offered a towel!Martin R19/03/2012

Birthday hill. Mrs B's last mainland hill south of Great Glen. Parked near Creagan Inn. Beyond Inn access track under railway bridge to cottage, around the back, over a fence through field with frisky highland cattle, across a small stream and steeply up on grass, through boulders and bracken to find a sheep trod leading up to ridge. Followed this into mist and detoured left to regain highest ground. Slippery in wellys. To top at 12.15.arranc02/10/2005
