With J on a sunny day with a decent breeze from near the Cluanie Inn. The usual route following the easy angled track to its high point then cross country to pt 540. Wandered along the broad ridge picking the best ground. Superb view from the summit of North Shiel ridge, some Affric peaks, particularly Nevis, the Aonachs & the Grey Corries. Ben Lomond appeared to visible in the far distance too. Heard & then saw golden plover on the descent which was to pt 540 and then aimed much lower on the track as per Owen B. Found a useful old stalkers path just underneath pt 540 which is difficult to spot from above or below. | NotReallyABagger | 12/06/2024 |

Solo. MTB on the old Road to the Isle track from parking east of Cluanie Inn to spot ht. 435m then pathless to summit on foot. | John Lee | 04/05/2023 |
Started from trackend at NH 21327 09107 on A87. Anti-clockwise circuit taking in 3 tops of Beinn Loinne. Return down Allt Coire Na Creadha until picking up track, near un-named lochan, at NH 17973 07445. SMMC Invergarry meet. | clashcityrocker | 26/04/2023 |
With John from track by Cluanie Inn. Straight up the track to pt 436 and then crossed the bog and headed east until a direct line SE up to the summit area. Tapped both trig and cairn, stopped briefly for some photos and a snack/drink (freezing wind at the top did not encourage a long stay), then headed back down the same route. Fairly wet underfoot after the track, with light snow on the ground above 600m. Total time 4h 37min. | mproudfoot | 05/03/2023 |
3 of 4: From Beinn Loinne CT. With Tim. | ChrisR | 25/02/2023 |
With Rhona, Heather, Struie & Hoy from track nr Cluanie Inn. Out & back. Aborted linear walk west to east over summit and sub summits because high deer gate at east end 214092 was locked and we had dogs. No way of sneaking them under the fence. Beware. So we had x2 cars and no need. | DampandDusty | 24/02/2023 |
parking east of Cluanie Inn. Easy by bike to a few 100m beyond high point in road. 22km. 3hours. | jef | 20/05/2022 |
Usual route from parking east of Cluanie Inn, up the track to 435m asl then pathless east. On return saved about 1km by aiming for the bend on the road at the 390m contour. Mostly very dry underfoot after five days of high pressure, making for good progress. | Owen B | 26/08/2021 |
