From Minffordd, via Craig Lwyd and Craig Cwm Amarch. This was the second attempt to come from this direction, a beautiful sunny May day in complete contrast to the abandoned November effort. Very busy on the summit. Headed to the southern edge of the summit plateau for lunch, where there were no people and an excellent view of Llyn Cau. onwards to Mynydd Moel.thesweetcheat13/05/2023

2nd ascent 39 years later to take in a HHB and some Simms. Circuit of corrie/cwm from main car park to the south. Parking costs £6 but hopefully helps fund the huge amount of work on eroded paths.govanah27/04/2023

Started at the pay and display car park for the Minffordd trail where toilet facilities are available, and used the Nuttall Route taking in the summits of Craig Cwm Amarch, Cyfrwy, Cadair Idris, Mynydd Moel and Gau Graig. Ten and half mile with 3400ft of ascent no time recorded as I was with a group we took around seven hours.WAYNE ROWLETT23/04/2022
Having drove down to Becs Dads Caravan in Talybont the Friday night we di this walk on the Saturday. Our 1st mistake was not having change for the car park so we drove to a petrol station to get some only to see when it was light the car park took cards lol. We set off through the woods up the very steep Minffordd path. Tough going from the start but we made it onto open fell plodding on to the tarn Llyn Cau. After a short sandwich break by the water we started to climb again and this time into the bad weather. When on the ridge the cloud dropped and freezing wind picked up all the way to the top. it was so hard and Bec was really struggling. We made it to the top and went for a break in the shelter from the horrendous weather. The way back we retraced our steps as we couldn’t see anything and even though longer was probably safer. Back at the car battered and bec bruised we went back to the caravan had a pint in the last inn and played game shows all night. Brilliant day. And saw TryfScotty 2 Hotty22/01/2022
