Great January walk from the Rough Tor car park over Showery Tor and Rough Tor. Apart from boggy ground leaving the car park was hard frozen ground which gave good going. Any icy patches were few and far bebeween.KevPalmer16/01/2024

From the car park to the NW, over Rough Tor and almost a straight line over the bridge up to Brown Willy. Got caught in a short sharp downpour on the top of Brown Willy whilst at the geocache, otherwise overcast and breezy. With Gillianrichard6925/08/2023
5 of 5 from the Jamaica inn. From Alex tor followed the farm track most of the way before going over rough ground before meeting the track for brown Willy. Lots of wild horses on the track. 13.5 miles round trip. Marilyn no. 76The-Z-Man25/07/2023

Out and back from Rough Tor car park to end of Brown Willy summit ridge, scrambling up Showery Tor, BW, Rough Tor and Little Rough Tor en route. Bracken high in places and appeared to be prime tick country, caught a couple of the buggers before they could bite! Great views and decent rocky summits with easy terrain in between.southern_rambler18/06/2023
From Roughtor car park (SX137819), across the hillside to Rough Tor, descending SE to where the permissive track crosses a stream (SX152804), then up track to summit, returning back to stream, across hillside to col between Rough Tor and Showery Tor, and back to start (2h10m)kdbennett22/03/2023

A tour of the tors ... Showery, Rough, Brown Willy, Butter's and Garrow. Tried for Louden Hill but the farmer outside the farmhouse to the SE was resistant to passage along his farm track.summitter10/04/2022
Parked at the Forestry Carpark near Camelford. Up to Showery Tor then Brown Willy and returned via Rough Tor. Jackie went as far as Showery Tor. Easy walking mainly on clear paths. Blustery day, gale force on the summitclimbingkershaw05/04/2022

Same route in reverse for the return walk. Dry day, cloudy at first then brightened, hazy views. Approx 5 miles with 793ft of ascent. Walked with Lindsey.Skip24/11/2021

Walked to the summits of Brown Willy and Rough Tor with my cousin. A great sunny day with a mix of large rocks to climb at the top of Rough Tor and Showery Tor. A great and fun top to do Cornwall is.DavidHiner25/08/2021
With the kids. Could see the sea on both sides or Cornwall from the top. Windy but good day avoiding the showers.SlowOl31/07/2021
We followed a route from a book which maybe wasn't ideal. From Rough Tor car park, up to Showery Tor, down past the long house and over to the corner of the fence and followed a stone bank. Then we had to climb over a barbed wire fence which was not mentioned in the book! Up to Maiden Tor, then Brown Willy. Back via Little Rough Tor and Rough Tor. With Keith, Ross (5) and Callum (3).islamidget29/07/2021

On way to Cornwall with J. Glorious day & plenty of folk on the hill. From the FC car park to NW. Over the various tops of Rough Tor noticing two strange small model buildings in sheltered spots a few metres to W below the summit of Showery Tor. Ponies as far as the eye could see! Then followed the faint path down to the De Lank River & up to Brown Willy for a superb view. Retraced steps.NotReallyABagger26/09/2020
Climbed solo. Excellent weather. Dry, mostly sunny with some haze and cloud. Start from Poldue Downs car park. Climbed over Showery Tor. Descend to De Lank River (pathless). Over Maiden Tor to gain north ridge of Brown Willy, and climbed to summit. Kernow's highest point boasts an excellent cairn and viewpoint. Visited south top as well. Returned along good path to De Lank River, before making a direct (but easy) ascent of Little Rough Tor. A short ridge walk south leads to the main summit of Rough Tor, where a little scrambling on boulders is required. Returned to car park at Poldue Downs (slightly rough at first, then easy grassy path). Excellent walk of about 3 hours through some surprisingly good hill country.jamessteel10015/08/2020

From free Rough Tor car park to the NW. Showery Tor (385m), Little Rough Tor (390m) and Rough Tor (400m). Then a nice walk across to Brown Willy. Pleasant and easy. Showery Tor was the most difficult to climb. With Clare, Eire, Evan, Sail, Danu, Coel & Alfie. Had a pint in The Jamaica Inn afterwards.Dangerous Dave05/08/2019
