Parked at Finzean sawmill, although could have parked at start of Peter Hill track, short way over bridge. Visited summit and trig. Continued to Baudnacauner. Returned via track W of Garrol Burn, which becomes indistinct below 500m.PGCE26/02/2024

Straighforward hill after the long drive up. Parked at Finzean, which has a lot of history. Signed path through the gorse and trees, cattle on this section. Lovely walk...hils21/04/2023

Good parking Finzean Sawmill NO 5912 9161. WM path PETER HILL PATH at NO 5914 9149 - unmapped shortcut to track up to summitcarole engel07/08/2021
We look at Peter Hill from our kitchen window 7 miles away and decided the day was too stunning -frozen and sunny- to devote fully to home tasks so an impromtu run up to the top and back from the ancient sawmill with L. Concrete hard ground in the icy N shadow then dazzling low sun in our faces. Soaked with sweat from the effort -turning icy cold. Glorious to be out. L way ahead 43 mins to summit - me another 20 mins. Long chat to fellow hill-runners (and llama keepers!)on our way down.Chris Pearson29/11/2020
From the old Sawmill. Good parking there. Path up Peter Hill then onward to Baudnacauner. Descended to marked track nr Glasspits Burn. This was overgrown but passable. Down to attractive woodland then path along river back to start. With B and R.jenx18/08/2020
2nd visit. 5hr outing with L and the dogs. Sunny and breezy. Good progress up the track again from the saw mill (old sheds still standing - just) then onwards easily(past the octagonal shooting lodge) on tracks and paths which fizzle out leaving as alda has said numerous peat groughs to negotiate to reach Cock Hill. These were tiring to clamber down and up but enjoyable as pretty dry today (with a few slimey oozey holes which the dogs inevitably found and sank in). Great training for the OMM -only 13 weeks to go!Chris Pearson19/07/2020
Nice easy walk up from Finzean sawmill, lovely day, extensive views in all directions, easy track before heading to Baudnacauner..PDuncan8223/01/2020
With L - Frozen and snow carpeted track up from the historic (and still working) water powered sawmills on the Feugh. Big boots and well wrapped up on a cold day with a few sweeping snow showers. Admired the still distant snowy Mount Battock - for another time, and on the onward ridge the unusual octagonal modern Arctic Finland hut - lunch hut for shooting parties with tables, chairs, sofa and gas heater, and photos on the walls - sadly all locked up. This lovely glen has a very extensive management plan by the BIRSE COMMUNITY TRUST for the Forest of Birse Commonty native Pinewoods. They estimate 20,000 visitors per year visit the sleepy dead end Feugh Glen, with its minor road alongside the river under crags and scots pines.Chris Pearson09/11/2019

A long west to east round from Birse castle via all Graham tops from Gannoch to Peter Hill plus Baudnacauner. Quite a lost of track so speedy going. teeming with mountain hares which looked very conspicuous in the absence of snow.dickscroop19/02/2017
