Parked in the upper Spey Valley at an old Quarry (NN 5346 9358) between Garva Bridge and Laggan, I walked west up onto Carn Dubh, then the summit of Stob Coire Dubh (NN 4961 9166). I return the same way. It took 03:50hrs, there was a thick layer of low cloud above 600m and a hard frost above 700m. Now views on top due to the low cloud.chillyman804/12/2022

A ridge walk from Aberarder. Up the path/stream ascending Na Cnapanan to Carn Liath, west to Meall an-t Snaim and Stob Coire a'Chriochairein, the east over A'Bhuideannach to Stob Coire Dubh. Below freezing on the ridge with swirling mists and stags roaring, especially the Glenshirra Forest. Trees in the Creag Meagaidh reserve looking beautiful, with Autumn pointillist leaves.Nick Down113/10/2019
