straightforward from SE. Nice little tucked-away spot. A rabbit darted down a hole inside a hollow tree. No doubt there were baby rabbits tucked up in bed below and Mrs Rabbit busying herself in the kitchen.Wycombe Wanderer03/11/2020

One of a series of grassy undulations in sheep pasture. One, probably the HP has a fenced water tank on top; another has a trig. Saw first snowdrops of the year at nearby roadside.Denise 13/01/2019
Unhindered deviation from the foot path. Lovely area of hummocks and hollows left by the retreating glaciers ~10,000 years ago. Didn't investigate the 155m contour rings N of the lane.RichardM13/01/2019
Parked by the post box, as others (SJ 5461 4410). Took the RoW to Wicksead Old Hall, handy stile for the RoW leading off due S. Veered off for the hill, then on to the trig pillar. Pitch dark, found a herd of cattle in one field that got a bit spooked. Kept lights off so a little tricky in places.jonglew23/11/2018

2nd hill of three today, with increasing wind speed. Started at the Hough B&B near Malpas and climbed to Norbury hill on a loop from Steer bridge before heading to Marbury & following the S Cheshire way. Had lunch beside lonesome oak on Buttermilk Bank before continuing on track past Wickstead Old Hall. Climbed over fence as reservoir was so close, strangely there is a stile for access. Visited all high points in the vicinity: Domed top about 60m Sw over fence (gate in corner) plus top with Tree stump and then Trig itself. Great views! Continued on fp South. Next Hill: Ash Grange Hill.Dazingdale26/02/2017
