| Fronllwyd & Carnedd y Filiast with Rufus. Parked just north of Tai Newyddion on the opposite side of the road where you can fit a couple of vehicles against the fence. Followed road and then track NNW to gate by afon Cwm ceunant where a sheep track takes you alongside the stream to around 400m and switches back N. Another switchback around 500m gains the crest of the ridge and then the summit of Fron Llwydd. | From Nant Peris down the road to Gwastadnant to pick up the path to Y Garn. We then traversed to Foel Goch followed by Mynydd Perfedd. We then take the ridge to Carnedd y Filiast 821 m and its subsidiary peak of Y Fronllwyd 720 m. We then took the path above the access tunnel to the power station at the head of the reservoir to ascend Elidir Fawr. This is a very steep path not shown on maps.
