From Lllanfachreth car park. Nice path by school then rough ground to Cerniau West Top, Moel y Llan (also visited top of similar height), Cerniau (also visited top of similar height). Headed roughly NE contouring and then over to Rhobell Ganol and Rhobell-big and back to climb Rhobell Fawr and Cynefin Bryn Blew [Rhobell Fawr West Top], down ridge to rejoin outward route. Warm and sunny. | RobertP | 26/05/2023 |

Left the car at the end of the minor road north of Rhobell y big 78802 29243,and followed the ROW to east of summit and then the fun began mostly pathless over Rhobell y big, Rhobell Ganol, Rhobell fawr, Moel Cae'r defaid west & east top and Dduallt. A note of warning the return to the car after dropping off the last summit due north to ford the river, if this is in spate the crossing can be a difficult wide crossing with slippery stones, I got caught out and tried using the south bank to return, This is not advised instead it would probably be best to try and return through the forest near Foel Gron although this could be also be tricky. Nine and half miles in Seven and half hours(GPS suggested Five hours). | WAYNE ROWLETT | 04/06/2022 |

Parked at end of the road in Cwm yr Allt-Lwyd. A (rough and boggy) round of Rhobell-y-big, Rhobell Ganol, Dduallt and Ffridd yr Allt-llwyd. | PGCE | 12/11/2020 |
4/4 Deweys from the end of the road in Cwm yr Allt-Lwyd at SH 788 292. Followed cart track easily past house and up to edge of moor, then across ridge which was tough going in the heather to Mynydd Bryn-llech, returned by edge of forest (slightly easier-ATV track) to cart track and then took a bee line to Ffridd yr Allt-Lwyd and back down to the car (all easy goingover this one). Then up south side of the valley, following indistinct track to where RoW crosses fence at SH 786 285 and on towards Rhobell Ganol, branching off before the marshy depression to go the splendid summit of Rhobell-y-big. Then sheep tracks across the depression and up to Rhobell Ganol. Finally back to the car using the indistinct RoW. (13km with 800m ascent in about 4h. (S) | silveracorn_alan | 19/09/2020 |
Rhobell-y-big and Rhobell Ganol from Cwm yr Allt Lwyd with Rufus. Parked on grass on outside of sharp bend and followed the farm track E for 100m, vague atv track heads S to a stile roughly following ROW on map. Deep heather and bilberry lead to the striking summit of Rhobell-y-big. SE to slightly boggy ground but straightforward to Rhobell Ganol. Weather turned pretty nasty here so picked up sheep tracks under E face of Rhobell Ganol which lead easily back to the ROW. Will be back for the rest of the hills as its a great area. | jacobrichmond | 04/08/2020 |

From Llanfachreth taking row, track and path to Rhobell Fawr after diversion to Cerniau, then descended and climbed Rhobell Ganol. From there it was over rough wet ground to Rhobell-y-big before dropping down to Afon Ceirw which was crossed at the wall which neatly took that out of play. The forest tracks to outward route. | SS | 26/12/2016 |

Continuation of walk from Rhobell y big. Walked south down between crags to a wide boggy bwlch, then up by sheep-tracks, visiting both the north and south tops. Walk continued to Rhobell Fawr. | Man of Kernow1 | 24/08/2014 |
3400 and 3390 together. Parked as others to NE. Good path then gets worse after about half way to 3400 - a fine hill - approach seems less rocky from the SW. Some bog to 3390 but not too bad. Tried to find the path to NE so that I could follow it S to 2 other Deweys but the path is a fiction. Spent a good half hour trying to find it in heather and bog. Have 1:50 map on GPS and was standing on the 'path' up to ankles in bog. Clear weather no path anywhere. Nightmare. Gave up and returned to car. | destaylor | 27/03/2014 |
