| Ascent via North Ridge from A5 at SH 6633 6028,to Tryfan, onto Tryfan Far South Peak then up to Glyder Fach via scree at side of Bristly Ridge, on to Castell Y Gwynt. (Well worth the scramble - this peak is deceptive when approaching from this direction and only looks like a small pile of jagged rock but opens out into the most spectacular climb once you're on it - on to Glyder Fawr and descent via Devil's kitchen and Llyn Idwal. | Parked on the A5 just west of Tryfan and went as straight up as I could find a path. This created some difficulties as it was raining with patchy low cloud and some of the stones were slippery. I therefore tried a different way down which also failed and I ended up with a difficult, steep, pathless route for much of the way.
