Logged Descriptions  (logged by 19 users)ByDate of Ascent
Parked to NW, two gates, then followed animal track up to ridge and onto top. Many other hills much more deserving of name.PeterD12/06/2023
Gentle easy rise up the SW slopesvegibagger24/05/2023
After Gartnagerach. Easy parking in square area off road then via gate to then climb up sheep tracks through heather to the top. A fairly small summit area, commanding good views. AS others have pointed out, its title is much more deserved by other hills...Dazingdale21/05/2023
Good parking opposite. An easy ascent, and even the boggy bits weren't that bad. Disappointing given its name.Minto20/05/2023
From NE, good off-road parking at wide track start. Defo doesn't live up to its name - disappointing.jonglew19/05/2023
I can think of a fair few hills more deserving of the name!chalky195308/07/2017

A must to climb after Sanda Island just because of its name and the views back to Sheep Island and Sanda Island. A stiff short climb for a P59 hill of 188 metres, grid reference NR 758 123. Photo on Geograph.Dugswell229/04/2012
In wellys through two gates and up over wet moor, over 2 wire fences through heather to the top. 7.15. Now I can mutter - Yes I've done the Bastard - whenever there's talk of Helm Crag, Old Man of Mow, etc.arranc01/05/2009
