3rd of the day and from Carn An Tionail via the col. Easy climb to the summit. Warm and sunny but clouded over. With Anne B and D. Dave | bolton | 12/05/2024 |
Across from Carn an Tionail. Beautiful and peaceful at the head of the glen between the two Grahams. With Phil, Anne & Ralph. | Dangerous Dave | 12/05/2024 |
West Merkland - landrover track to the 266m point. Just beyond this an atv track which goes round Meall a'Chleirich to 615m on the slopes of B.Direach. It also continues down to the bealaich between the two Corbetts. Horrible track but better than the surrounding ground. | iangalbraith | 26/04/2024 |
From W Merkland in foul weather. A long slog up A' Ghlaise on an ATV track then Tionall, Direach and Meall a' Chleirich. Interesting descent to Loch an t-Seilg initially on a deer track, then negotiating massive boulders and holes. | sclater | 10/09/2023 |
Cloudy and wet. If descending by the atv track from the col before Meall a`Chleirich don`t take the one indicated by the two short posts.Carry on to the next one. Too miserable weatherwise for the Hump. | ARM | 10/09/2023 |
With Rhona and Struie. Parked on grass verge at West Merkland. Proceed north up estate track until past the marked right turn to climb Ben Hee. There is a hidden from view metal bridge to cross Allt na Glaise. Up the long, easy slope of A'Glaise and easy walking along the ridge to the first Fiona. Carn an Tionail. Head SE on easy ground to bealach and short climb to Beinn Direach. Descend SW and if you're lucky you can pick up an ATV track which goes all the way back to the original estate track, contouring around the base of Meall A'Chleirich. | DampandDusty | 23/07/2023 |
Up the landrover track from West Merkland. From the high point of track there is a well defined atv track not shown on any maps that skirts round the west slopes of Meall a'Chleirich to the bealach between aforementioned and Beinn Direach. I missed the start of it on way up as I had come off the main track too soon not knowing that it was there to use. The atv track also continues up the south slopes of Beinn Direach for a bit and then continued over open hillside on good firm ground to top. Returned by same route with a short diversion to take in top of Meall a' Chleirich on way back. Evening climb so got back just before dark at 9pm. | Jossker | 05/05/2023 |

Solo trip, with Carn an Tionail. Ptarmigan on summit. Return ATV track can be picked up from at least 200m N of the pass between CaT and Meall a'Chleirich. It gets very faint in the bog but rejoins the main track between the two quarries marked on the 1:25k. | Invicta14 | 20/04/2022 |

Set off in cloud but all tops cleared before I got to them. Easy access via track then up to A'Ghlais and on to Carn an Tionail. No problems crossing over to Beinn Direach and down over Meall a Chlerich for an early finish. | dickscroop | 24/08/2020 |

Nice hill from West Merkland up south ridge down to bealach & 152.1m of accent to Beinn Direach. 6hours50. | rogreeves | 21/05/2019 |
From Ben Hee. Back down the path then north to the high point of the track. Pathless and quite hard work on a warm, cloudless, hazy day up the long slope. A rather featureless hill overshadowed on both sides. | Owen B | 22/04/2019 |
A nice White Christmas walk in soft snow. Over Carn an Tionail, then on to Beinn Direach. Nice easy descent to the bealach, then an ATV track goes down to the valley. | Gill | 25/12/2017 |
Took a while to locate the col coming from Carn an Tionail in mist, but only problem after that was the wet slippy ground. | IanHHill | 11/08/2017 |
