Parked at forest gate due S of Patna Hill (NS 4055 1067). Up to there first. Dropped down to Whitehill, across road and took a good forest road to Kirklafinn. Could have driven up to here, gates are in a poor state and don't look like they are ever closed.jonglew11/04/2024
From NNE, as others, also visited the W summit, lower but has the better viewRHW03/12/2023
Sloppy map reading meant turning left too early but ATV tracks between forest and replanted woodland allowed me to approach top from ESE. Was unaware I had reached the new top especially as I later found rim of quarry to appear much more interesting.lordtonult06/08/2022
2nd visit back for the new top, high point is outside of the trees, area south and north of this looked as high.robertphillips27/03/2021

5th hill of 9 today on a route from Grimmet on the B741 to Maybole climbing Auchenroy, Auldcraigoch, Turgeny and Keirs Hill, continuing on forest track veering off to climb edge of quarry to track. Highest point on Southern side of rough rubbly track. I returned to explore high ground SE on verge of forest (forest clear-felled to the South) but reading obtained was 1m lower. Continued on track headed for Patna Hill.Dazingdale14/05/2017

Parked start of track, at unofficial dumping area. Took track past Whitehill, now a ruin, to Quarry. Ascent round East or LHS. Good chat with friendly farmer from Carclout on way out. With the F.C.The Captainblank
