Track from Pinmore Mains, through Upper Glenburnie Wood. Took detour up burn to avoid sheep being herded. Across pasture to Trig, Top then Monument. Descent route via tracks. With the F.C.The Captain28/04/2019
As Robert. Top W of trig. First drops of rain just as I got back to the car. Lots of dead moles attached to barbed wire on either side of the gate by the car!chrisbien01/05/2018
park farm entrance, track to end of trees then through 2 gates to the top.robertphillips04/03/2018
Track from Pinmore Mains. The continuing path has vanished but rough pasture took me easily to the summit. I read the date on the monument as 1860 but it's very eroded and hard to decipherColin Crawford18/06/2017
4th and final hill of the day having driven from Dalmellington to climb Bennan of Kirkcalla then to Corwar Mains to do a loop to explore Dornal Hill i made it to Girvan for Ailsa Craig trip. Afterwards i ate in the Harbour cafe and headed towards Barr village, stopping near Balligmorrie farm (search for Balligmorrie burn on your phone). A short distance on road then took track up veering off to climb fence then over burn, over 2 gates to head directly for summit which lies somewhere in between the monument (resembling a re-erected standing stone) and the trig point. Great views of Ailsa Craig. Returned as outward route although 1st fence harder to get over. Stayed at an Airbnb place in Barr village.Dazingdale11/05/2017
Access easy (but initially very muddy) from Pinmore Mains track. Pillar close to unexplained monument faintly bearing the date 1960(?)- from a distance this had me thinking the trig itself had been badly eroded. Pathetic navigation had me reaching the road a kilometre to the NE on the way back.agentmancuso29/03/2008
