On foot from Maybole railway station on a bracing breezy day. Time did not permit me to visit the monument on nearby Kildoon Hill.NormanW19/08/2017
1st of 8 hills today on a route from Maybole to Girvan in wet and windy conditions, avoiding the field with over 100 cows but climbing in and out using gates at the top and then heading straight across to the summit, about 5 m from one patch of nettles and 10m from the other. Descended SE past pond then Sw to use stile over track then over fence to shortcut reaching minor lane heading Sw towards the Ghaist glen. Next hill:Kirk hill.Dazingdale15/05/2017
