Bagged during Southern Upland Way hike. We were on top for sunrise, with a cloud inversion filling the valleys below. Took the breath away!Toby-and-Dion05/01/2024
From St.John’s Town of Dalry. Followed Water of Ken to main rd which was followed to Coom Bridge where headed right up the road along Garroch Glen to the SUW sign which we followed and the summit is slightly off the main path. Followed SUW back to DalryWayne Mac10/07/2021

9th and final top of the day on a route from Carsphairn to Dalry, climbing Bardennoch Hill, Gairy Craig, Torrs, Bennan Hill, Shinmount, Rig of Drumbuie, Dunveoch Hill and Garroch Hill, descending steeply through Cat Craigs to intercept Southern Upland Way, following this close to Waterside hill before veering off to climb to the alternative outcrop and then the current summit before using the SUW to descend to the power station where I was fortunate to get a lift off an elderly couple, who were strangely thrilled that I was walking the Galloway Hill! I walked past this hill whilst on the SUW in 2015 but I was too tired to check out the summit etc so really pleased to complete this one!Dazingdale18/10/2018
