Last hill of the day before checking in at the 2018 Triggers Meet in Newton Stewart YHA. 150m walk up from car park.jonglew23/03/2018
Had half an hour connection in Newton from the overnight National Express coach and the bus to Isle of Whithorn. What better way to spend it than eschewing breakfast for a quick, easy TuMP! A drizzly 19 mins up and down from the bus stop with a short pause by the trig on top.Jake99419/08/2017
4th and final hill of the day on a circular around Newton Stewart, climbing Torwhinnoch, Larg and Barr Hill (including South top) veering Nw onto minor road to A75 then road past cemetary curving round to path signed to Blairmount park. Took reservoir service road to find trig pillar next to derelict hut. Highest point is earth next to Sycamore tree about 3 metres away from Trig point. Followed some paths in wood before dropping back into town.Dazingdale01/08/2017
Short walk up Scottish Water access road from car park. A messy summit with concrete foundations, block house and fenced reservoir. Natural high point probably close to the easily accessible trig point.RichardM12/02/2017

The joys of school cross-country running. Date is a guess but could be any time before the end of 1975. Anticlockwise circuit of Blairmount Park, along the back of the football stand (now demolished), up steep path by boundary wall and down track. No trees on the SW slopes in those days.Gallovidian20/02/1974
