Weekday so I did not want to climb the locked gate with warning signs into the quarry. I parked in the yellow road at 17074 28623, up a couple of pastures to rough ground and continued to trig and the higher man-made bank adjacent. The rough ground may be difficult once the bracken comes back. | clivevilla | 03/04/2024 |

Sunday morning, no quarry activity. Quick (20 minutes) walk anticlockwise around the quarry tracks, visiting trig and highpoint of adjacent bank. | PGCE | 18/07/2021 |
Thrashed up through heather, bramble and gorse from road, diverting briefly onto pasture. Descended partly on quarry road. Trig treated as HP though the nearby embankment of the quarry road is higher. | Denise | 21/09/2016 |
The convenient wedge of Access Land between the A458 and the summit is a trap! The field boundary to the S or quarry road are much better options. Access Land is deep bramble / gorse and bracken, perhaps in winter it may be OK | RichardM | 21/09/2016 |
On circular from Foel Dyrch you can see the route to take I.E. the old quarry road to SW of working quarry entrance through thick trash past what may be an old explosives lock up to TP near new quarry road | underhill | 06/08/2015 |

Parked in roadside layby on A478 near OS 258m spot height. Awkward bramble bank to negotiate initially and it didn't get much better until scrambling over spoil onto a quarry 'road' at SN 16587 28583. Easy walk to hill top from there. Trig point at summit is 10m outside quarry boundary. There is now a nearby spoil heap several metres higher than hill summit. | jonglew | 31/08/2014 |
