Logged Descriptions  (logged by 26 users)ByDate of Ascent
From the Usk Reservoir car park at SN 83313 28641. Crossed the dam and took the grassy track behind the house into the forest. Then followed bridleway out of the forest, where it was no longer apparent on the ground. Kept to higher ground around the marsh of Waun Ddu, then grass tracks all the way to the Roman marching camps on the top of Y Pigwyn. Then followed tracks west to the Roman fortlet and on up to the summit of Mynydd Myddfai. Then descended south towards the forest, following the bridleway NE (again no trace on the ground) to gain the track into the forest at a gate. Then forest roads back to the dam and car park. 12.8km, with 270m of ascent.Man of Kernow123/07/2024
