Turned into farmyard to north, lady came out, asked for permission to park, but was refused. Advised to park to the south, where there's plenty of space, albeit a longer walk. Time was against me so went elsewhere. | henryfm | 23/07/2024 |
Parked at road junction to south. Up wet and muddy BW. Drier once on access land to trig. Bracken had been cut back. | PeterD | 19/02/2024 |
Easy ascent from south via good path from the road junction. A gradual ascent of 103m takes you to the tarn, then summit. Lovely views of all the bigger mountains from this nice little hill. Saw a few people. | DanTrig | 18/06/2023 |
Cycled up from Defynnog via road and bw. Stunning views.

From Dan-y-Cefn. Parked in yard as there is nowhere else to park on this lane. Nobody about to ask permission. Up behind house then right below the bracken. This wings round from going SW to S and then there is a track to the summit. I went up the other way and had to a major bracken bash. | clivevilla | 29/07/2019 |
Asked permission to park at Dan y Cefn. Granted by very pleasant lady in the big house. Otherwise parking seemed non existent in the narrow lanes.
Straightforward ascent. Surprised to find small ridge at summit. | Campbell Singer | 29/05/2019 |
Taken in as a circular walk from Deffynog, whilst the rest of the part ate their lunch down near the lake. | Father Ted | 06/08/2017 |
Parked at Dan-y-Cefn farm, no-one about to ask, still no-one about when returning to car. RoW then out onto open access land, up through bracken. HP small grassy mound 1m SW of Trig pillar. | jonglew | 06/09/2016 |
